Today our Youth Group toured St. Mary of the Angels Chapel and the Adoration Chapel at St. Rose Convent and then took in the grounds at Viterbo University. This neighborhood tells the story of how the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration helped shape medical care and education in our city, building these community changing institutions on their faith in God. Then we ate some yummy cheese curds for lunch!

Surfsippi Day 1! Our theme this year is Celebrating Faith in La Crosse and, in honor of America’s 250th birthday, we are learning how different faith traditions helped build our city. Today we visited First Lutheran, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of La Crosse, the former St. Paul’s Lutheran, St. John’s United Church of Christ and Neighborhood City Church. We even got a tour of Neighborhood City Church and met some nice people and a doggie there. More La Crosse places of worship tomorrow.
