This Sunday morning, Pastor Eichers read this announcement before church. Pastor Eichers has accepted a call to serve at the pastor at Zion Lutheran Ministries in Menomonee Falls, WI.

"I have been blessed beyond measure to serve at Faith Lutheran Church & Student Center and these years will live in my memory as some of the best years of my life. I believe the Holy Spirit has called me to serve in this next context, and I believe He will be blessing me throughout this transition process. It will be sad to be leaving you, but I trust the Lord has a wonderful plan for Faith Lutheran Church and is already raising up another pastor to serve in your midst. More details on transition are forthcoming, but my last Sunday is estimated to take place in mid-July." - Pastor Jacob Eichers

Dear Saints at Faith Lutheran Church, I announced the following at the services at Faith Lutheran Church and Hill Country Lutheran Church (- Pastor Eichers):

On Wednesday, May 20th, I, Pastor Eichers, received call papers to serve as the pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls, WI. I currently hold two divine calls, one here at Faith Lutheran Church, and one to Zion, Menomonee Falls. I will deliberate these two calls and accept one and return the other. I hope to announce my decision at the end of the June 7th worship service at Faith.

In simple terms, it is undecided at this time whether I will stay in La Crosse to continue serving at Faith or make arrangements to leave to serve in Menomonee Falls. In the meantime, I ask prayers for my family and me to decide the path the Holy Spirit is calling us. I invite conversations and encouragement on how the Lord can best use the talents He has granted me to serve His Church.

Pray also for Zion in Menomonee Falls as they look for a future pastor. Regardless of who it may be, we can rejoice that the Lord already knows who that man is who will serve that flock and is building him up to serve in that place.
