Family Activities for Holy Week 🤍

Palm Sundaes – Make ice cream sundaes with fun toppings to celebrate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. You can also use yogurt and fruit.

Praise Party – Turn on your favorite worship songs and have a joyful family dance party together.

Movie Night – Watch movies like The King of Kings or Light of the World.

Foot Washing – Wash one another’s feet and talk about how Jesus calls us to love and serve others.

Communion Together – Share communion as a family and read Matthew 26:26–29.

Resurrection Garden – Create a resurrection garden together (I have tutorials on my page!).

Resurrection Rolls - Use cinnamon sugar, butter, large marshmallows and crescent rolls to make these. After cooking, the rolls with be empty because the marshmallow melts. You can follow more details recipes online.

Weight of Sin Basket – Fill a basket with rocks as you talk about the weight of sin (Hebrews 12:1–3). Cover it with a red cloth on Good Friday to represent the blood of Jesus. On Easter Sunday, remove the cloth to reveal an empty basket. Jesus has taken the weight of our sin through the cross.

Sunrise Celebration – Watch the sunrise on Easter morning and celebrate that Jesus is risen and gives us new life!

Today in Preschool Connect Groups, we talked about a widow who helped Elijah. We talked about how we could help each other and how that showed God's love for people. Two of us helped each other color a picture. Two of us worked together to build a huge fort. Two of us worked together to pick up our animal toys. We also all worked together to make story wheels about Elijah. Join us next Sunday when we learn about Esther.

The Spring and Summer 2026 Pre-School Extended Session schedule has been completed including the coverage for the 8:30 Service. There are several needs for additional volunteers.

A message from Pastor Martin: "We are going to cancel our morning worship services for February 1st. We might be able drive on some of the roads but the parking lot of the church will be dicey, for sure. Check us out at 11 am on our website for services tomorrow. Fresh message and new worship! We'll have a blast!"

Our children sang such a beautiful song, "Happy Birthday, Jesus". They did such an amazing job this morning. Merry Christmas!

We are growing to two church services in January and need to prepare for childcare during those services. Sunday morning in the Pre-school department you will find a survey on the counter in the hallway between classrooms. Please help us prepare by completing this survey. Rebecca Reeves will be providing childcare in January for the 8:30 a.m. services. We look forward to seeing all our precious children and their families.

Today in Kindergarten/5-year-old Connect Group, we talked about our upcoming holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas. We talked about what we are thankful for and drew pictures of those things. We then made pumpkins and leaves with our hand prints. We also talked about Jacob and that he had a dream about angels going up and down stairs and that God told him He was with him wherever he goes.

This morning in Kindergarten Connect Group, we learned that King Hezekiah was a good king and worked hard to repair God's temple. We built a temple out of blocks just like he did. We also learned that the people worshiped God in many ways by singing and playing instruments. We made paper trumpets and practiced praising God in our temple. Join us next Sunday!
