Farragut Presbyterian Church - Knoxville, TN

Farragut Presbyterian Church - Knoxville, TN Farragut Presbyterian Church was chartered in 1985, when Heritage Presbyterian Church and Church of the Covenant merged.

We are a diverse and welcoming community of believers, called by God to make disciples of Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to acknowledge God's gracious presence in the world. These two churches served as a symbol of the merger of the Presbyterian Church of the U.S. and the United Presbyterian Church (USA). Farragut Presbyterian Church, like the town of Farragut, is vibrant and growin

g. In 1988, a fellowship hall, kitchen and several classrooms were added to the original structure built in 1980. In 1998, construction was started on a very attractive new sanctuary building and badly needed additional parking. The new sanctuary was completed in March, 1999. Beginning in 2018, FPC renovated and updated the fellowship and education wings of the existing building. Our Fresh Look for a Welcome Church was a success and will run through 2020. If you would like to donate to the Fresh Look campaign, please contact the office. We are a diverse and welcoming community of believers, called by God to make disciples of Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to acknowledge God’s gracious presence in the world. Our faithful response in praising God encompasses compassionate service to all, nurturing one another to grow in faith together and sending out disciples to share the Good News. Praising God, Serving Others, Growing in Faith

On Sunday, Susan Harbin spoke to us about the important ministry at UKirk@UTK. As a board member, she helps link Farragut Presbyterian and UKirk.

They are launching a new campaign to celebrate 75 years of ministry. This campaign will help by investing in the impact of this inclusive and affirming faith community, where justice is central, faith is alive, and questions are encouraged—so that students know they are beloved by God.

If you are interested in learning more, check out their website https://www.ukirkutk.org/ or reach out to Susan!
