No services at LFPC this weekend — because we're all headed to Family Camp! ⛺
After a summer spent tracing the "Faces of Our Faith" — people who met God at the edges, outside the expected structures — there's something fitting about heading outside, together, as a whole congregation at the John Knox Center.
No pews, beautiful views, all are welcome.

Yesterday we closed out "Faces of Our Faith" with the story of the Ethiopian eu**ch — a man who traveled all the way to Jerusalem to worship, uncertain if he'd even be let in the gate. He was reading Isaiah on the road home when someone finally sat beside him and asked, "Do you understand what you're reading?"
Three months, so many faces: Deborah, the daughters of Zelophehad, Shiphrah and Puah, Anna, Judas, the thief on the cross, and now this. All of them at the edges. All of them met there by God.
He went on his way rejoicing.
We hope you do too.

This Sunday, we pick up walking too — back to the book of Acts, with Rally Day brunch first and Communion at the table. Faith is a team sport, and we're glad you're on ours.

Sunday's sermon on Philemon put "works of faith" and "works of law" side by side, and honestly, most of us live somewhere in the middle. Paul didn't command Philemon to free Onesimus. He asked — in front of the whole church — and trusted the Spirit to do the rest.
