Westminster Presbyterian Church Knoxville

Westminster Presbyterian Church Knoxville Where Faith and Life Connect We seek to glorify God and celebrate God's presence through music and prayer, word and sacrament.

We seek to follow Christ in an open and inclusive community of faith where God's transforming love for all creation is celebrated through worship, discipleship, and service. We seek to grow and mature as disciples of Jesus Christ by growing our faith, in our understanding of the world around us, and in our relationships with one another. We believe our calling as a community of faith is to continu

e Christ's own ministry of service in our community and in our world. We don't claim to have all the answers, but we think it is important to struggle with the questions of faith as we seek to do justice where we are, to nurture one another in mutual support, and to walk humbly with God. Our vision is to be an inclusive community where faith and life connect.

Our Westminster youth are embracing this year’s Montreat Youth Conference theme: Wonder & Wander. Ten students and chaperones Melanie and Daniel Lewis and Jean Bonnyman are spending the week exploring faith, asking questions, building community, and opening themselves to the wonder of God’s presence in unexpected places. Please join us in praying for a week of growth, joy, and holy adventure. 💙⛰️✨🙏

Join us each Sunday after worship for popsicles by the fountain. ☀️
We hope to make this a regular way to linger, catch up, and enjoy each other’s company throughout the summer. Fellowship is the sweetest treat of all! 🍉

Please see Allie Brewington if you would like to "host" a Sunday during the summer.

Praying for peace.

We hold in our hearts the people of the Islamic Center of San Diego - ICSD, as well as the wider Muslim community. We mourn those who have died in the recent attack there and seek to be part of a web of support for those who grieve the loss of their loved ones. No one should have to fear violence at their school or place of worship. May God work through us, and so many others, to bring about justice, bring about peace, bring about healing.

For the past several months, supplies have been passed off to community organizers within the immigrant community who have worked hard to organize and distribute to over EIGHTY area families who are struggling right now with accessing resources safely. The next opportunity is at St. James this Sunday.

We give thanks for a beautiful and moving performance of Mozart's Mass in C Minor this evening.

Under the direction of Dr. Edie Johnson, our choir joined voices with the Episcopal Church of the Ascension and members of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra for an evening of remarkable music. We are especially grateful for our soloists—Meredith Mackay, Ruth Ann Bendy, Jason Kindel, and Kyle Foster—for their outstanding leadership.

Thank you to all who made this evening possible and to everyone who joined us.
