Knoxville First Church

Knoxville First Church We believe that life is better when God is first. Because of this strong belief, we do everything we can to help people experience this better life. Love God.

Love People. Serve Both.
“Reach teach and connect people to Jesus and each other.” The Vision of Knoxville First Church of God:
To reach, teach, and connect people to Jesus and each other. Matthew 28:19

The Mission of Knoxville First Church of God:
Love God and Love People
Matthew 22:37-40

Core values: 3 things we will stand for

1. We Are Better Together
We believe that God has called us to li

ve in community and that we truly are better together. We will strategically create opportunities for us to go deeper in the Word together, go deeper in our relationships with each other, and make a deeper impact on our community.

2. Others Before Us
We will go out of our way to not put personal preferences over biblical mandate to “go” and make disciples. We hold that the message is sacred but the method is not, and we will do whatever it takes to reach people with the gospel and put others before us. We will also, give, serve and commit to doing all we can because we want others to know Jesus.

3. Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop
We believe that we should always be growing individually and as a church. We will always have audacious goals that promote numerical growth. We will always plan environments and ministries that promote spiritual growth. We can’t stop and won’t stop gathering and growing.

Here are a few Connection Opportunities this week—simple ways you can be the Church and serve others through Christ who lives in you

Isaiah 117 House Bin – We currently need new 5T boys' clothing with tags attached. Donations can be placed in the bin by the resource table.

Letters of Love – Help encourage Karuna, the child our church sponsors in Nepal, by writing a letter, prayer, or note of encouragement. Blank letters and instructions are available on the resource table. Completed letters can be given to me or slid under my office door.

KARM Cards – Do you know someone in the corner of your field who may need resources or support? We have KARM cards available. Stop by the office or speak with me.

As I reflected on Pastor's message this week, one statement especially stood out:
"The wounds we don't surrender to God become weapons against others, but the wounds we place in God's hands become tools He uses to help others."

Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me" (Matthew 25:40).

The fruit of our salvation is expressed in how we love and serve others. God often takes the wounds we surrender to Him and uses them to bring hope, encouragement, and healing to those around us.

Healed people help people.

Father, I place my hurts in Your hands that they may be used for good, for Your glory, and to help others. In Jesus' name, amen.
