Beginning June 28th, 2026: Pactolus United Methodist Church will be changing our worship time to 11 a.m. The time change is being prompted as we will be paired with Cross United Methodist Church in Blountville for the 2026-27 pastoral appointment season.

The changes begin on July 1, but we hope you can be with us on June 28th as we will be joined by guest pastor Reverend Rae Mullins for morning worship.

Whether you join us on June 28th or after, please make sure to make note of our new service time: Sunday mornings at 11 a.m.

Danielle Hammonds and Ben Hammonds are friends of us here at Pactolus UMC. Earlier this year, they gained custody of their nieces and nephew. We encourage you to check out her page if you would like to learn more about helping support these kids in participate in some upcoming races.

The congregations of the Pactolus and Arcadia UMC charge are truly saddened to hear of the sudden passing of the Rev Kim Isley Selby yesterday. Kim served just up the road from Arcadia at Vermont United Methodist Church.

Kim will be remembered for all the work she has done as a pastor, a mother, a wife, and a friend. Over the course of over 30 years, she served numerous churches in Holston.

To her immediate family and her church family, please know that you all are in our prayers today. May God's grace and love ease your heart and leave you only with the memories of the journey you've shared.

In your mercy, Lord: hear our prayers.

On this day, Good Friday, we recall and feel the love of Christ Jesus for humanity. We remember that love is not a noun.

LOVE is a verb. Love pours itself out and gives of itself. LOVE humbles itself.

LOVE is an action. An action that is stronger than fear.

We invite you to join us tonight at 6 p.m. at Arcadia United Methodist Church, 3954 Bloomingdale Road in Kingsport, for the service of Good Friday. A service where we will remember that love Christ has given us.
