📸 SUNDAY RECAP 📸

What if God's glory looks different than we think?

In Mark 9, Jesus revealed His glory on the mountain during the Transfiguration—but He didn't stay there. He led His disciples back into the valley, where people were hurting and in need of hope.

The lesson? God's glory isn't found in being first, loudest, or most recognized. It's revealed through humble service.

While the disciples argued about greatness, Jesus taught that true greatness comes from being willing to be last and serve others. The mountaintop wasn't the destination—it was preparation for ministry.

As we draw close to Jesus through prayer and fasting, we learn to depend on Him rather than ourselves. And when we serve "the least of these," His love and glory shine through us.

Don't spend your life trying to build a platform on the mountain. Follow Jesus into the valley. That's where His glory changes the world.

Day 1 of Camp Emmanuel 2026 is in the books!

Today we started laying the foundation for an incredible week. From full bellies of yummy food and new friendships to endless giggles, games, and adventures, this crew hit the ground running!

But the best part? We spent time learning about the One foundation that never fails—Jesus, our Rock. As we dive into this week's theme, we're discovering what it means to build our lives on Him!

The laughter has been loud, the energy has been high, and the excitement for what's ahead is even bigger. Day one was just the beginning, and we can't wait to see what God continues to build in the hearts of these campers throughout the week. ❤️✝️

Strong foundations. Lasting faith. One amazing first day.

📸 SUNDAY RECAP 📸

đź‘€ What if the greatest obstacle to seeing Jesus clearly... is thinking you already do?

In one of the most unique miracles in the Gospels, a blind man receives his sight in two stages. Moments later, Peter correctly identifies Jesus as the Messiah—yet still fails to understand what Jesus came to do.

It’s a reminder that spiritual vision often develops the same way: little by little.

This week, we were challenged to ask ourselves:

➡️ Who do you say Jesus is?
➡️ Who are you bringing to Jesus?
➡️ Are your thoughts centered on God’s concerns or your own?
➡️ What are you trading your soul for?
➡️ Are you following Jesus—or simply admiring Him from a distance?

Jesus didn’t call us to comfort. He called us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. And while that calling isn’t always easy, it’s the path to the life we were created for.

The good news? God is patient with us. Just as He continued opening the eyes of the blind man and shaping Peter’s understanding, He continues to transform us as we follow Him.

As we step into a new week, may we keep surrendering, keep trusting, and keep allowing Jesus to open our eyes to who He truly is.

And if you’ve missed any part of our journey through Mark, don’t miss the rest of this summer series. Each week is building on the last, and we believe God has something powerful to show us as we continue discovering who Jesus is and what it truly means to follow Him.
