Another letter from a recent KPM retreatant:
"To ALL Kolbe Prison Ministry Volunteers. I pray for the Holy Spirit to give me the words to express my complete gratitude. It is amazing what this retreat has done for my spirit. I know as a servant I have been genuinely been taken aback by the Power Of The Lord's true Love I have never known. I pray that I with time learn how to accept it without repayment or feel like I have to repay it with what I know. Please keep me in your prayers as you will always be in mine. Jesus is love and I must learn to accept it. Another man said 'thank you for encouraging me to go (he's Protestant) I learned so much I didn't know about the Catholic faith and I will be researching the apologetic books and open to learn what Jesus wants me to learn. I want you to help me learn how to pray the Rosary. I don't know if I will become Catholic but I want to learn it.' I told him to listen to the Holy Spirit and He will guide him to what he should do. Feel the love of Jesus and Our Blessed Mother Virgin Mary as they call you into a deeper relationship. I will help him learn whatever he needs to. Made my heart happy as we give Glory to God in His amazing work and allowing us to be vessels for His love to flow through. Anyhow, I wanted to share those few things with you and the Kolbe Ministries. Thank ya'll for serving and for listening to the call of God to not forget those in prison as he spoke in Matthew 25:31-46 and that the harvest is abundant but the laborers are few I. Matthew 9:37-38 and you acted on His Word and went. All Praise and Glory To the LORD!!! Amen!!! I truly enjoy serving and was encouraged and filled up too. I love the LORD so much and truly love helping people to learn about God and the Catholic Faith. Thank ya'll for allowing me to share in this ministry. I love ya'll and truly do pray for ya'll and keep you in my thoughts. I will write a letter soon too, but I wanted to get this to you. I have a visit with my wife in a little bit (thank you Jesus!) so I will wrap this up. I pray your wife and family are good. I will emessage Earl this afternoon. Smile big for me and may the Love and Joy of Jesus overflow through you. May God Bless You and Protect You in All You Do.
Love Your Brother in Christ, M.R."

A letter from an inmate about the Kolbe retreat they assisted in:

"To: All Kolbe Outside Brothers In Christ
From: Robertson Unit Kolbe Inside Brothers In Christ
Subject: Gratitude to each of you Brothers in Christ

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every volunteer who has supported the Kolbe Retreats at the Robertson Unit since 2018. Your dedication to prison ministry has been a true blessing, and we are thankful to witness the generosity of so many men who willingly give of their time to join us. You are angels among us, and we are incredibly blessed to have such wonderful brothers in Christ walk alongside us. With the support of our brothers in Christ outside team, those of us inside these walls have a goal and that is to bring hope, encouragement and a spiritual renewal to the brothers in white once the retreat is over. As these men return to their daily lives after a retreat, we let them know they are never alone. We let them know not to hesitate reach out to us if they need to talk or need someone to pray with them as we are more than happy to visit with them.

As we gear up for a retreat, we place flyers across the whole unit that is visible for everyone to read. All are welcome, no matter your faith background. This is a time of hope, healing and renewal. Come meet the wonderful volunteers from Kolbe Prison Ministry. During these three blessed days, you will spend time with dedicated volunteers. Men of faith who travel from across Texas to bring encouragement, fellowship and the message of God's deep love for each and every one of you. We have been blessed to have a large number of brothers in white put in to be a new retreatant. Brothers in Christ who have attended a previous retreat talk so highly of the table volunteer that they had. You as a volunteer do influence the lives of so many men in such a positive way.
Thank You."
