Each year our summer camp programming includes an opportunity for campers to learn about organizations that are serving people. We selected Meals on Wheels of Texas as the organization that we would collect an offering for and learn about. Campers did an activity that highlighted the important work that Meals on Wheels is doing. Campers and their families then were offered the opportunity to donate.

We are pleased to be able to send a donation of $3,999.50 to Meals on Wheels and support the work that they all do. Thank you to all who participated in our summer offering!

Cross Trails welcomes high school and older volunteer groups who want to focus on service during their retreat. These retreats are free with at least 4 hours work per person per night, and an offering that helps to cover the materials cost of your project or a portion of the food and housekeeping costs we incur during your stay.

Thrivent Action Teams are a good resource for funding these types of costs. Housing for volunteers may be in the A-frames at Chrysalis or the Bunkhouse at Ebert depending on other groups on site.

Email [email protected] for more information and a list of projects that your group could do!

Throwback Thursday to our Labor Day Retreat!

Participates were able to take a step back in time to explore the land of the dinosaurs and marvel at how the land we roam is the same land of the creatures that came long before us. They were able to explore the impact that faith has had throughout the history of the world, and how it always finds a way!
