September 6, 2026 Morning worship service message. (10:00am)
Title: You are Blessed because you are here.
blessed means experiencing God's deep favor, spiritual well-being, and ultimate satisfaction that does not depend on material wealth or life circumstances.
Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11,
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
The verse emphasizes that God’s thoughts and intentions toward His people are ultimately for their good, safety, and peace—even during difficult times.
God gave this message to the Israelites while they were exiled in Babylon. He was assuring them that despite their current hardships, He had not abandoned them and still had a purposeful future in store for them.
Point one: Grow Where You Are Planted"
the story Instead of planning a revolt or waiting for an immediate rescue, God tells the exiles to build houses, plant gardens, marry, and pray for the peace of Babylon, because their captivity will last for 70 years.
Fight the thoughts
Negative thoughts often tell us we have no future, we are trapped, or things will never get better. Jeremiah 29:11 directly contradicts this:
When a negative thought says, "You can't be happy or peaceful until everything is fixed," remind yourself that God provides peace in the present moment, not just at the finish line.
