Today we celebrate Juneteenth, the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

We honor the faith, resilience, and perseverance of those who endured bo***ge and those who never stopped believing that freedom would come.

As we give thanks for their legacy, we remember that God is always at work bringing His people from oppression toward freedom, from despair toward hope, and from injustice toward righteousness.

There continues to be a significant need for support in rebuilding Jamaica following the recent hurricane. In partnership with the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority KC (MO) Alumnae Chapter and WE GO International, St Augustine’s hopes you will consider offering your support once again.
