We’re excited to share that Mumineen Community Development Corporation (MCDC) has been awarded $300,000 through the The National Urban League IAAQLI initiative to launch Black Men in AI (BMAI) and expand our Peer Recovery Coaching & Support Services.

This funding is more than a grant. It is enterprise capital.

Multi-year investments like this give emerging, community-rooted organizations the stability to build, test, refine, and scale programs that directly impact people’s lives. It allows us to move beyond short-term survival and into long-term impact.

With this support, we will:
• Launch a new AI workforce pathway for Black men in Marion County
• Expand recovery and reentry support for justice-involved individuals
• Strengthen the bridge between technology access, economic mobility, and holistic community support

We are deeply grateful to the The Exchange at the Indianapolis Urban League and IAAQLI for believing in the power of sustained investment in grassroots organizations doing transformative work.

This is what happens when philanthropy funds capacity, not just activities.

This group provides a supportive environment for individuals to share their experiences, listen to others, and discuss strategies for managing their recovery. We are here to support you.
