WEEK 25 — THEY BUILT WHILE THEY PRAISED
Meditation Scripture (NLT)
Ezra 3:11
“With praise and thanks, they sang this song to the Lord… And all the people gave a great shout, praising the Lord because the foundation of the Lord’s Temple had been laid.”

Devotional Reflection
In Ezra’s account, worship did not wait until completion it erupted at the foundation. The people praised God while the work was still in progress. This reveals a powerful truth: worship fuels rebuilding, not just celebration after success.
Praise acknowledges God’s faithfulness at the start, not just the finish. The foundation was incomplete, the walls unfinished, yet worship broke forth. They understood that God’s presence mattered more than polished outcomes.
In personal rebuilding, worship shifts our focus from what is lacking to Who is leading. Praise restores perspective and renews strength when progress feels slow.
For the church, this scripture reminds RCC that worship is not a pause from building it is part of the process. When praise rises, God’s presence settles among the builders.
Rebuilding accelerates when worship remains central.

Weekly Challenge
This week, worship before completion.
• Thank God daily for progress, not perfection.
• Praise God intentionally in the middle of unfinished work.

WEEK 23 — BUILT TO LAST, NOT BUILT TO IMPRESS
Meditation Scripture (NLT)
Matthew 7:24–25
“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.”

Devotional Reflection
Jesus contrasts two builders one focused on appearance, the other on obedience. The difference was not effort, but foundation. Rebuilding discipleship prioritizes durability over display.
Storms reveal what foundations conceal. Obedience anchors faith so it withstands pressure. God is more concerned with endurance than applause.
In personal rebuilding, this scripture calls us to evaluate motives. Are we seeking spiritual growth for recognition, or transformation? True discipleship survives adversity.
For the church, sustainable rebuilding means teaching obedience, not entertainment. RCC’s strength is measured by resilience, not reaction.
What is built on obedience will outlast every storm.

• Identify an area where obedience needs reinforcement.
• Practice applying God’s Word intentionally, not selectively.

WEEK 22 — NOT JUST CONVERTS, DISCIPLES
Meditation Scripture (NLT)
Matthew 28:19–20
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations… Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.”

Devotional Reflection
Jesus’ final instruction was not about gathering crowds but forming disciples. Conversion begins the journey, but discipleship sustains it. Rebuilding requires movement from decision to devotion.
Discipleship is intentional and relational. It involves teaching, modeling, and accountability. Jesus did not rush transformation He invested in people over time.
In our lives, this scripture challenges us to pursue growth beyond belief. Disciples obey, follow, and reflect Christ in daily life. Faith matures through practice, not proximity.
For the church, this is a clarifying mandate. RCC is not measured solely by numbers, but by spiritual formation. Healthy disciples build healthy communities.
Discipleship is the framework that sustains rebuilding.

This week, move from belief to obedience.
• Identify one command of Jesus you can practice intentionally.
• Invite accountability to support your growth.
