WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, our 1st and 2nd graders learned about the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11. Having faith was not easy for these people. Many of these faithful people suffered, and they all died before God’s greatest promise, the arrival of Jesus, came true, but they believed that God had a wonderful plan. God was pleased with them because they trusted Him. We can have faith that God is in control and that He has a good plan, even when what is going on around us might not feel good. When we share with others the way God leads us to faith, it can help them have faith too! When other things we have built up tumble around us, a relationship with God through Jesus is our strong tower that never tumbles.

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders continued to learn from Revelation. In our story, John saw all of heaven praising Jesus. Everyone in heaven was praising Jesus because to Him belong salvation, glory, and power. Only Jesus can save people from their sins. Only Jesus receives glory because God has exalted Him above every other name. And only Jesus has power to defeat sin, death, and all evil. When Jesus returns, He will speak words of authority because He is King, and His words will hold power to defeat evil. Those who trust in Jesus look forward to the day when Satan and evil are destroyed forever. God’s final judgments will be a time of celebration for Christians because Jesus will be victorious over evil. When Jesus returns, He will defeat evil once and for all. Those who trust in Jesus will be with Him and enjoy Him forever.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned that God sent the Holy Spirit to fill the first Christians. Those people then shared Jesus with boldness in Jerusalem. God performed a miracle by helping the Christians share Jesus in different languages so everyone who listened could understand. That day, thousands of people believed and trusted in Jesus. Kids can know that sharing Jesus is exciting because God works to change lives and welcome people into His family.

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned that God showed John visions of heaven. The creatures that John saw were all saying, ‘Holy, holy, holy Lord God, the Almighty, who was, who is, and who is coming.’ He has no beginning. He is still King over all, and He is coming back one day to make everything right. No one was worthy to open the scroll except One: Jesus, the Lamb of God. Jesus is the only One who can open the scroll because He lived a sinless life and paid the price for our sin when He died on the cross. He won the battle against sin and death and rose from the dead. Only He can save us from our sin. Jesus is the only One worthy of honor, praise, and glory.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, our 1st and 2nd graders learned from Matthew 13:1-23, Jesus told a story about a farmer who sowed seed on different types of soil. While not all the seed grew, those sown on good soil grew and multiplied. In a similar way, when we share Jesus, we are sowing “seed” like the farmer. We share about Him and do not know if people will listen and believe. But sharing Jesus is worth it because God does know, and He is the One who helps the “seed” of faith, meaning the moments we learn about and experience God, grow!

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders learned Paul sent Timothy to the Thessalonian church to check on them. Paul wrote them a letter to give them hope and to encourage them to live in a way that honors Jesus. Paul told the believers to look forward to the day that Jesus returns. No matter what hardships we experience on earth, we can look forward with hope knowing that there is a day coming where everything will be made right. This truth should encourage us to live in a way that shows others how great Jesus is. We can tell others about all Jesus has done to provide our salvation and to one day make all things right. Christians have a special purpose to spread the good news of Jesus and to live in a way that honors Him. We live holy lives, loving one another and finding joy in Jesus as we remember God’s promise to one day return and make all things right.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, our 1st and 2nd graders learned from Acts 13–21 and followed a disciple named Paul. After Paul started following Jesus, he traveled around and shared Jesus with different people in different places. He knew, and we can know, that sharing Jesus is important because He is the One who made the way for us to have a relationship with God.

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders continued to learn about Paul! The men traveling with Paul were scared that they would die on their journey. An angel of God told Paul that no one on the ship would be killed in the storm. Paul believed God would keep this promise and encouraged the other men to believe this too. Even during the difficult journey, Paul gave thanks to the Lord and ate, trusting that God would keep His promise. Paul didn’t become hopeless or lose heart. Paul’s trust in God showed others that God can always be trusted. The Bible says that Paul’s words and behavior encouraged the others on the ship. God calls us to trust in His Son, Jesus, who died to rescue us from sin and death, and to invite others to believe this good news as well.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, our 1st and 2nd graders learned that God cares about our actions. The disciple Paul wrote a letter to Christians living in Philippi. In Philippians 2:1-18, Paul reminded the Philippians that Jesus lived with humility, meaning He had an attitude of submission, or surrender, to God and gentleness toward other people. Paul wrote that people who follow Jesus can follow His example and live with humble actions as well. Kids will learn that when we live with humility, helping other people and making them feel important, we point others to God and live like Jesus.

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders learned that God used Paul’s imprisonment to preach the good news to people who needed to hear. Paul shared with Felix, King Agrippa, Queen Bernice, and Festus. When Paul shared his faith in Jesus with these people, they all thought he was crazy, but we know that Jesus is the only way to eternal life. Paul wanted everyone to believe in Jesus. All of these events happened just like God said they would. God chose Paul to take the gospel to Gentiles, kings, and the Israelites. Paul met with people again and again to tell the good news about Jesus. He wanted everyone to believe that Jesus is Lord. Because Jesus has the power to save people from sin, Paul was willing to do whatever it took to share the gospel.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, our 1st and 2nd graders learned form James 3 that God cares about our words because what we say shows what is in our hearts. In our Bible story, a man named James wrote a letter to Christians explaining the connection between words and faith. In James 3, he wrote that our tongues have the power to praise or curse God and to build others up or tear them down. God can work through our words to show His love and share truth with others. When we struggle to control our words, we can ask God to help us.

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders learned about Paul being on trial. Paul often found himself in dangerous situations because he was not afraid to share the good news about Jesus with others. But even when Paul was in danger, he trusted that God would help him. God did help Paul. As Paul stood before the Jewish leaders, God gave him the wisdom to know what to say. Paul trusted God and believed that God, who showed His love for the world by sending His Son to die on the cross and rise again, would use the danger Paul faced to get Paul to Rome. We too can risk everything to share the gospel with courage because we know that God loves us and will care for us

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, our 1st and 2nd graders learned about what Peter says about our thoughts. Peter encouraged Christians that our thought matter because our thoughts affect our actions. When we have a relationship with God, He set us apart to have actions which honor Him and point others to Him. God calls us to work hard to set our minds on things that please & honor Him. When we believe in God, we are set apart to think in ways that love, follow, & honor God.

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders learned Paul followed God’s command to go and preach the good news to those who had not heard. Following God’s plan was often dangerous for Paul, but he continued, knowing God would care for him. Paul told his friends that he was ready to be arrested or even die so that others could hear the gospel and trust in Jesus. Paul obeyed the Spirit and went to Jerusalem knowing he would face trouble. Even when Paul was under threat by these Jewish leaders, he continued to preach the gospel. Paul followed God’s plan and returned to Jerusalem even though he faced danger in the city. We can follow God’s plan to tell others about Jesus and trust God to take care of us.
