WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned that Jesus showed that God made us with worth, as seen in this week’s Bible story from Matthew 19 and Mark 10. People were bringing their children to Jesus, hoping He would bless them. But when the disciples rebuked them, Jesus grew upset. He invited the children to come to Him, saying that the kingdom of God belongs to them.

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders learned about Noah and the flood. One day, God told Noah to build a big boat called an ark. God told Noah what would happen: God was going to punish sin by sending a flood to wipe out everything on the earth. God made a special promise, a covenant, with Noah. God promised to keep Noah and his family safe. God rescued Noah and his family from the flood. The story of Noah points to an even greater rescue. God’s Son, Jesus, came to take the punishment for our sin. By trusting in Him, we are saved from the power of sin and death.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned from Psalm 139 that God leads us to true identity. A king named David wrote that God knows everything about us because He made us. God leads us to true identity because He knows who we are and who we are meant to be.

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned about Cain and Abel. Cain was sinful like his parents, Adam and Eve. As families grew and sin spread, people waited for God to keep His promise. At just the right time, God would send His Son, Jesus, to save sinners. We are all sinful and sin separates us from God. But God is merciful and sent His Son, Jesus, to save us from sin. We can trust in Jesus and let Him rule our hearts or we can continue to let sin rule our hearts. When we trust in Jesus, our sin is forgiven and we are brought back to God.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned that people who follow Jesus are to love even when it costs them something and even if they are not shown love and kindness in return. Jesus taught that we are to even love our enemies. Kids learned that Jesus is our example of how to love.

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned about Adam and Eve and how they sinned. Adam and Eve sinned when they rejected God’s good plan and disobeyed His command. Sin separates people from God, but God didn’t leave them without hope. God sent His Son, Jesus, to live as Adam didn’t - perfectly sinless. God the Son came to earth as a man to rescue people from sin.

We invite you to pray for the 23 more leaders we need to make Sundays happen. We’re SO excited for Kickoff Sunday this coming Sunday, but we are also actively looking for people who will step in and help in classrooms on Sundays either every other week or every week. Would you step in to helping shape disciples in First Kids? We can’t reach kids and their families without your help.

Pr***en Camp Day 3!

Just like yesterday, we woke up, ate breakfast, had quiet time, went to Start Up, ran around at Rec, ate lunch, learned about how we can share the gospel where we are and help those around the world, had free time, learned about the good Samaritan, and enjoyed worship!

We learned that being a good neighbor isn't about convenience. It's about compassion. Through the story of the Good Samaritan, preteens discovered that Jesus calls us to love others with action, kindness, and mercy, no matter who they are. We learned that loving our neighbor means choosing compassion over comfort, extending mercy even when it's inconvenient, and reflecting the love Christ has first shown us.

Pr***en Camp Day 2!!

We woke up, had quiet time, went to Start Up, had Rec, learned about missions, had free time, and spent the day learning all about forgiveness. Through Jesus' parable of the Unforgiving Servant, preteens discovered that because Jesus has forgiven our unpayable debt, we can freely forgive others. They spent time reflecting on God's incredible grace, considering where they need to ask for forgiveness, and identifying people they can extend forgiveness to.

Pr***en Camp Day 1 Recap!

We gathered at The Loop, got on buses, and headed out to Highland Lakes for Pr***en Camp 2026! Once we got here, we got unpacked, went to Start Up, had dinner, had Life Group Bible Study, worshipped, and learned from Matthew 7:24-27. Pr***ens got asked to think on where they were building their house; whether on firm foundation or on sand. Popularity, grades, others’ opinions, teams, and other “achievements” easily fall away. We get to build our house on the ROCK - Jesus, where we will never be moved or shaken.

We would covet your prayers for our preteens as we continue at camp. We are praying that God would move mightily and these preteens would leave camp CHANGED!
