WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned that God will always forgive us when we ask! Even when we make wrong choices, God forgives us. Because of that, we can have great hope & trust that God will love us now & forever. God’s love never fades & never goes away, so we can know that His love & forgiveness are available when we ask. That is what hope is all about!

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned about Jacob and Esau and how Jacob tricked his father into blessing him instead of Esau. God’s covenant with Abraham continued to the next generation. Esau sold his birthright, giving Jacob the right to the wonderful blessings God promised to his father Abraham. Through Jacob’s family, God would send the promised Savior to bring blessing and salvation to the world.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned that Peter & Jesus were friends. But when Peter was asked if he was friends with Jesus, he did not tell the truth. Peter loved Jesus, but he still made a wrong choice & said he did not even know Jesus. That probably left Peter feeling ashamed & sad. But Jesus did not turn away from Peter. Instead, He forgave Peter & welcomed him back. Peter’s wrong choice left him broken, but forgiveness & welcome from Jesus made Peter whole again. Our wrong choices can leave us feeling sad, embarrassed, or ashamed. But Jesus forgave Peter, & He forgives you too!

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned about Isaac and Rebekah. Abraham trusted that God would keep His promises, and we can trust that Jesus will save us when we trust in Him. God loved the world so much that He sent Jesus to rescue people from sin and death. Through Jesus, God is faithful to provide forgiveness and eternal life for all who trust in Him.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, our 1st and 2nd graders learned about the man who was brought by his friends to Jesus. Some men brought their friend to Jesus for Him to meet the man’s physical need, but Jesus had other plans. Jesus forgave the man of his sins before He healed him because forgiveness is what the man needed most. Like the man in the Bible story, we all have sinned & need God’s forgiveness. The only answer for our sin is the forgiveness offered through Jesus. Jesus can offer us forgiveness because, although He never sinned, He took the punishment our sin deserved. So once we are forgiven of our sin, we can choose to live by doing things God’s way. When you know Jesus & have a relationship with Him, He gives you the strength & encouragement you need to do what is right.

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders learned about Abraham and Isaac. Abraham was asked by God to offer his own son, Isaac, as a sacrifice. Abraham obeyed. When he made the altar, he continued to obey, preparing to sacrifice his son. However, an angel of the Lord called to Abraham and showed him the ram caught in the thicket that God had provided. Abraham was blessed for his faith. The punishment of sin is death. Yet, just as Isaac was saved from death by the provision of the ram, God provided His Son, Jesus, as the perfect sacrifice for our sin.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned the story of creation from Genesis 1:26–2:25. God created the world and made people unique and different. People are the only part of God’s creation that are made in His image. Kids learned that none of us are accidents because God made us on purpose. God values us, and He made us in His image.

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned about how Abram followed God in Genesis 11:27-13:18. Abram believed God’s words and obeyed God’s call to leave his land and his family. God promised to bless Abram and the whole world through one of Abram’s descendants. God kept this promise when He sent Jesus, who left heaven and came into the world to rescue sinners.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned about the prodigal son. In Luke 15, Jesus told a story about a son who took his inheritance, left home, and wasted it. When the son was hungry and alone, he decided to return and beg his father to be like a servant. But while the son was still far away, his father ran to welcome him home. God loves us so much that He seeks us when we’re far away and welcomes us into a forever relationship with Him through Jesus.

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned about the Tower of Babel. People ignored God’s plan and tried to make a name for themselves, so God confused their language and scattered the people all over the earth. One day, Jesus will gather together all of God’s people, people from every tribe and people who speak all kinds of languages, and they will worship Him.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned that Jesus showed that God made us with worth, as seen in this week’s Bible story from Matthew 19 and Mark 10. People were bringing their children to Jesus, hoping He would bless them. But when the disciples rebuked them, Jesus grew upset. He invited the children to come to Him, saying that the kingdom of God belongs to them.

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders learned about Noah and the flood. One day, God told Noah to build a big boat called an ark. God told Noah what would happen: God was going to punish sin by sending a flood to wipe out everything on the earth. God made a special promise, a covenant, with Noah. God promised to keep Noah and his family safe. God rescued Noah and his family from the flood. The story of Noah points to an even greater rescue. God’s Son, Jesus, came to take the punishment for our sin. By trusting in Him, we are saved from the power of sin and death.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned from Psalm 139 that God leads us to true identity. A king named David wrote that God knows everything about us because He made us. God leads us to true identity because He knows who we are and who we are meant to be.

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned about Cain and Abel. Cain was sinful like his parents, Adam and Eve. As families grew and sin spread, people waited for God to keep His promise. At just the right time, God would send His Son, Jesus, to save sinners. We are all sinful and sin separates us from God. But God is merciful and sent His Son, Jesus, to save us from sin. We can trust in Jesus and let Him rule our hearts or we can continue to let sin rule our hearts. When we trust in Jesus, our sin is forgiven and we are brought back to God.
