WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned that God made us to enjoy life and follow Him wherever we are because where we live matters to God. In Jeremiah 29:1-14, God told His people that they should live their lives to the fullest, even while they were living in another country. Living well would make a difference in their lives and the lives of those around them. While there are many different homes in different places, we can know that where we live matters to God.

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned from Acts 2 that Peter preached the good news to the crowd at Pentecost. Peter taught them what all of these events that had happened meant: We are separated from God because of our sin. Jesus is the Messiah, and He came to take the punishment we deserve so that we won’t be separated from God anymore. The people needed to repent and believe to be saved. The people who repented knew they had sinned, believed what Peter said, and knew that Jesus is the only way to receive God’s forgiveness. The people believed Peter. They knew they needed Jesus. The question you need to ask yourself is whether you believe that Jesus is who He said He is. And do you believe that you need to receive forgiveness?

This week, we had Illumination Station! We had over 1500 children and adults on campus for VBS!

Throughout our rotations in Missions, Recreation, Music, and Bible Study, we worked through some big questions that all answered that Jesus is the promised, perfect, powerful, and proven Son of God! This world might be dark, but Jesus is the light of the world!

Our kids worked together to raise money for kids at the Ilturisho School in Kenya. Many kids at that school cannot afford to eat lunch, so we raised money to feed kids for a year. Our goal at the start of the week was to raise $10,650 to be able to feed 426 kids. Today, we have raised $19,625 for 785 kids!!!

We had the BEST Pathmakers with us, helping us lead kids and point them to Christ. We are forever grateful for our leaders!!

"Jesus spoke to them again: 'I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.'" - John 8:12

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned that their lives matter to God. In our Bible story from Judges 13–16, a man named Samson showed that he was special to God, even though he made wrong choices. God made Samson special, and He cared about him. Kids can know their lives matter to God too. Pray with your kids this week for specific people that you can share Jesus with. Remind them that God made them special.

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned an introduction to our Summer Series, the Armor of God. The devil wants to tempt us to sin and trick us into believing that God doesn't love us. God has given us armor to put on so that we can defend against the devil's attacks. We have the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes fit with the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. We must put the armor of God on each day to protect ourselves from the schemes of the devil. Ultimately, Jesus has already won the battle, but as we await His return, we must be protected.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned that they are uniquely designed by God. Their names, lives, where they live, and who they are matter to Him. This week we will teach about how God called a young man named Samuel by name. He knew Samuel and had an important message for Samuel. God knows each of us by name too. He sent His Son, Jesus, so we can have a relationship with Him. The relationship God offers is personal. We can know we are always seen, known, and loved. Even our names matter to God.

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned that the church looks forward to Jesus’ return when He will make all things new. Jesus is coming back! And when He does everything will be made new. We will be able to see God face to face. His presence will give light to the city and there will be no need for a temple because we can worship Him at His feet. The Bible tells us that only those who have trusted Jesus as Savior, whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life will be able to enter the city. This city is for God’s children to be with Him and worship Him forever. God has given us opportunities now to recognize we are sinners and need Jesus to save us from sin. Anyone can trust in Jesus, be forgiven, and have the hope of life with Him forever.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, our 1st and 2nd graders learned about the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11. Having faith was not easy for these people. Many of these faithful people suffered, and they all died before God’s greatest promise, the arrival of Jesus, came true, but they believed that God had a wonderful plan. God was pleased with them because they trusted Him. We can have faith that God is in control and that He has a good plan, even when what is going on around us might not feel good. When we share with others the way God leads us to faith, it can help them have faith too! When other things we have built up tumble around us, a relationship with God through Jesus is our strong tower that never tumbles.

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders continued to learn from Revelation. In our story, John saw all of heaven praising Jesus. Everyone in heaven was praising Jesus because to Him belong salvation, glory, and power. Only Jesus can save people from their sins. Only Jesus receives glory because God has exalted Him above every other name. And only Jesus has power to defeat sin, death, and all evil. When Jesus returns, He will speak words of authority because He is King, and His words will hold power to defeat evil. Those who trust in Jesus look forward to the day when Satan and evil are destroyed forever. God’s final judgments will be a time of celebration for Christians because Jesus will be victorious over evil. When Jesus returns, He will defeat evil once and for all. Those who trust in Jesus will be with Him and enjoy Him forever.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!!

In Clubhouse Worship, 1st and 2nd graders learned that God sent the Holy Spirit to fill the first Christians. Those people then shared Jesus with boldness in Jerusalem. God performed a miracle by helping the Christians share Jesus in different languages so everyone who listened could understand. That day, thousands of people believed and trusted in Jesus. Kids can know that sharing Jesus is exciting because God works to change lives and welcome people into His family.

In LBS, 1st-5th graders learned that God showed John visions of heaven. The creatures that John saw were all saying, ‘Holy, holy, holy Lord God, the Almighty, who was, who is, and who is coming.’ He has no beginning. He is still King over all, and He is coming back one day to make everything right. No one was worthy to open the scroll except One: Jesus, the Lamb of God. Jesus is the only One who can open the scroll because He lived a sinless life and paid the price for our sin when He died on the cross. He won the battle against sin and death and rose from the dead. Only He can save us from our sin. Jesus is the only One worthy of honor, praise, and glory.

WE LOVE SUNDAYS!

In Clubhouse Worship, our 1st and 2nd graders learned from Matthew 13:1-23, Jesus told a story about a farmer who sowed seed on different types of soil. While not all the seed grew, those sown on good soil grew and multiplied. In a similar way, when we share Jesus, we are sowing “seed” like the farmer. We share about Him and do not know if people will listen and believe. But sharing Jesus is worth it because God does know, and He is the One who helps the “seed” of faith, meaning the moments we learn about and experience God, grow!

In LBS, our 1st-5th graders learned Paul sent Timothy to the Thessalonian church to check on them. Paul wrote them a letter to give them hope and to encourage them to live in a way that honors Jesus. Paul told the believers to look forward to the day that Jesus returns. No matter what hardships we experience on earth, we can look forward with hope knowing that there is a day coming where everything will be made right. This truth should encourage us to live in a way that shows others how great Jesus is. We can tell others about all Jesus has done to provide our salvation and to one day make all things right. Christians have a special purpose to spread the good news of Jesus and to live in a way that honors Him. We live holy lives, loving one another and finding joy in Jesus as we remember God’s promise to one day return and make all things right.
