Tough pill to swallow sometimes... Tornados, hurricane, inflation, etc... Praise and worship the Lord not because of how you feel, but despite the way you feel. God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good!!!

Last week CanHope celebrated the 20 years of ministry for those going through cancer, autoimmune disease and long term illness and their caregivers. CanHope has been Planting Seeds of Hope that started with one couple saying "Yes" to the Lord and they watched Him do above and beyond what they could have asked or imagined.

Do you know about Houston First Baptist - Special Needs Ministry - Thru the Roof

"Thru the Roof" is open from Sundays, 9am - Noon to allow families time to get to Life Bible Study, worship, or other leadership areas in the church. Families who have children or adults with disabilities in "Thru the Roof " must remain on campus during this time.

The program offers classes for children who require extra one-on-one learning environment. A multi-purpose classroom is used for sensory play, younger children, and other activities for movement and music. "Thru the Roof " is open Wednsday evenings from 5:45 - 8:30p, following the Midlink schedule (see their website). This program also provides buddies for High 5 Kids Choir from 6-7pm.

Have you heard about Stephen Ministers at Houston’s First?

Stephen Ministers are equipped lay people from the Houston's First congregation that provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in the church and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. Stephen Ministers meet weekly with their assigned care receiver, listen to them and pray for them. They encourage them by providing emotional and spiritual care while faced with a crisis or difficulty such as:
*Loneliness or discouragement
*Spiritual Crisis
*Unemployment or a job crisis
*Relocation
*Birth, adoption, miscarriage, or infertility
*Loss of a loved one
Marriage difficulties, divorce or separation
*Loss of independence
*Hospitalization, chronic illness, cancer
