Weekly Devotion – Thursday, April 2

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5

There are moments in life when things simply don’t make sense. Plans fall through, doors close, and we’re left wondering what God is doing.

Our natural response is to try to figure everything out. We want answers, timelines, and clarity. But faith doesn’t grow through full understanding—it grows through trust.

God sees what we cannot. He knows what’s ahead, even when we don’t.

Trusting Him means choosing to believe that His way is better, even when it feels uncertain. It means letting go of control and placing our confidence in His direction.

You may not understand the path you’re on right now, but you can trust the One who is leading you.

Prayer:
Lord, help me trust You even when I don’t understand what You are doing. Teach me to rely on Your wisdom instead of my own. Give me peace as I follow Your path. Amen.

What is an area of your life where you need to trust God more?

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13

Some days feel heavier than others. Responsibilities pile up, challenges come out of nowhere, and it’s easy to feel like you don’t have what it takes.

But this verse isn’t about doing everything on your own—it’s about where your strength comes from.

God never asked you to carry it all by yourself.

His strength shows up in your weakness. His power fills the gaps when you feel empty. And even when you feel stretched thin, He is still enough.

Whatever you’re facing today, you don’t have to rely on your own strength.

Lean on Him. Trust Him. Let Him carry what you can’t.

Prayer:
Lord, when I feel weak or overwhelmed, remind me that my strength comes from You. Help me rely on You in every situation and trust that You will carry me through. Amen.

Weekly Devotion - Thursday, March 19

“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10

Life rarely slows down on its own. Our days fill up with responsibilities, decisions, worries, and noise. Sometimes we move so quickly from one thing to the next that we forget to pause and remember who is truly in control.

God’s invitation in this verse is simple but powerful: be still.

Stillness doesn’t mean everything around us is perfect. It doesn’t mean our problems disappear. It means choosing, even for a moment, to quiet our hearts and remember that God is bigger than whatever we are facing.

When we pause and acknowledge Him, our perspective shifts. What felt overwhelming begins to feel manageable because we remember we are not carrying it alone.

Today, take a few moments to step out of the rush. Put down the phone, quiet your mind, and remind yourself that God is present, faithful, and working—even when you can’t see it yet.

Sometimes the most powerful step of faith is simply being still and trusting Him.

Prayer
Lord, help me slow down today and remember that You are in control. When my mind is full of worries and my schedule feels overwhelming, remind me to pause and rest in Your presence. Give me peace that comes from trusting You. Amen.
