Deep River Friends Meeting Deep River Friends is located at 5300 West Wendover Avenue in High Point, NC. Sunday School is at 10 We gather for worship on Sundays at 11 a.m.

Deep River Friends Meeting, established in 1754, is a Quaker Meeting in High Point, North Carolina. In a world of greed, endless hurry and violence, we believe there is a better way of life. This is made possible by Jesus Christ who shows us the infinite love and mercy of God, and who accompanies us day-by-day, helping us find goodness among the difficult choices that constantly confront us.

Friends,

Our dear friend and member of over 50 years, Carol Wilson Dunn, passed away suddenly on Saturday after suffering a fall in her home. There are no immediate plans for a funeral, but there will be a celebration of her life planned for later. She leaves behind a daughter, Stephanie Moore (Britt); a son, Steve Dunn; and two grandchildren, Brittanie Moore and Joey Moore. Her husband Larry Dunn, also a member of the meeting, predeceased her.

Carol was an active member of our meeting during her years of good health, and she has retained a strong interest in the activities of the meeting since she has been homebound. She faithfully listened to our recorded Meetings for Worship, and she faithfully supported our finances.

Our deepest sympathy goes to her beloved family, and to her huge network of friends.

October is Pastors Appreciation Month!!
As this month begins.. shall we reflect on what our pastor means to us! Pastors carry heavy loads and loads of love for their congregations. Show appreciation this month, possibly with a card, gift card and even a thank you from the heart . They don’t expect it but they deserve it.
