Jesus himself was gone, but Jesus didn’t leave us alone. As we read a couple of weeks ago, God sent the Holy Spirit, the Counselor, the Teacher, the Encourager, to be with them.

Things are really jumping at Springfield this morning -- we have at least five different things going on:
1) Tyler Foster has a group of kids downstairs for a summer enrichment program
2) FEMAP is down in the youth center for their weekly gathering, packing hygiene kits for farm workers, homeless people and veterans
3) the art class has people painting, drawing, quilting and making practice crafts for Sunday School
4) Javier Gonzalez and his crew are outdoors mowing and trimming
5) Bill Keller is pressure washing the stairs to the Sunday School wing -- haven't been cleaned in 50+ years
