🕊️ Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

Today, the Church joyfully celebrates the great Feast of the Holy Ascension of Our Lord and honors Saints Constantine and Helen, Equal-to-the-Apostles.

Forty days after His Resurrection, Christ ascended into heaven in glory — not to leave His people behind, but to open the way for us to share in eternal life with Him.

The Ascension reminds us that our faith is not rooted only in this world, but in the Kingdom of God.

🌿 Today’s Commemorations:
• Holy Ascension
• Saints Constantine and Helen, Equal-to-the-Apostles
• Pachomios the Righteous New Martyr

Saints Constantine and Helen are remembered for their faith, leadership, and devotion to Christ, helping establish and strengthen Christianity throughout the world.

📖 Today’s Readings:
Matins Gospel — Mark 16:9–20
Epistle — Acts 26:1, 12–20
Gospel — Luke 24:36–53

💬 “While He blessed them, He was parted from them and carried up into heaven.”
— Luke 24:51

Even as Christ ascended, He left His disciples with peace, purpose, and hope — the same gifts He continues to offer us today.

As we celebrate this holy feast, may we lift our hearts toward heaven while continuing to live faithfully, prayerfully, and lovingly here on earth.

⛪ Join us at St. George Greek Orthodox Church as we gather together in worship and thanksgiving on this blessed feast day.

🕊️ Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

Tuesday, May 19, 2026

As we continue through the joyful season of Pascha, the Church reminds us that the light of Christ is meant to shine not only within the walls of the Church, but in the way we live, speak, and love each day.

Today is Fast Free — a reminder of the joy and freedom we celebrate through the Resurrection of our Lord.

🌿 Today’s Commemorations:
• Patrick the Hieromartyr and Bishop
• Our Righteous Father Memnonus the Wonderworker
• Theotima & Kyriake the Martyrs

These holy men and women lived with courage, faith, and unwavering devotion to Christ even in difficult times. Their witness encourages us to remain faithful in our own daily struggles and responsibilities.

📖 Today’s Readings:
Epistle — Acts 17:19–28
Gospel — John 12:19–36

In today’s Epistle, Saint Paul speaks to the people of Athens and reminds them that God is never far from us:

💬 “For in Him we live and move and have our being.”
— Acts 17:28

What a powerful reminder for all of us today.

Even in busy schedules, uncertainty, stress, or exhaustion, Christ remains present. We are never abandoned, never forgotten, and never beyond His mercy and love.

May we take a moment today to slow down, pray, and remember that every part of our life can become an opportunity to draw closer to God.

⛪ Join us at St. George Greek Orthodox Church as we continue growing together in worship, fellowship, and the joy of the Resurrection.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at St. George Greek Orthodox Church 💐

Today, we give thanks to God for the mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, stepmothers, spiritual mothers, and all the women who have poured love, strength, wisdom, and faith into the lives of others.

A mother’s love reflects sacrifice, compassion, patience, and unwavering devotion. Whether through quiet prayers, comforting words, long days, or countless unseen acts of care, mothers help shape both our families and our faith communities in ways that cannot be measured.

On this special day, we also remember with love and prayer those mothers who are no longer with us physically, as well as those who may find Mother’s Day difficult. May God grant comfort, peace, and His abundant mercy to all.

We are blessed by the many faithful women of our parish family who continue to serve Christ through love, hospitality, kindness, and example. Your presence strengthens our church and our community every day.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed.” — Proverbs 31:28

From our St. George family to yours, may God bless all mothers today and always.

🕊️ Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

Today, the Church celebrates the Sunday of the Samaritan Woman — one of the most beautiful Gospel encounters in all of Scripture.

In the middle of an ordinary day at Jacob’s Well, Christ meets a woman searching for meaning, healing, and truth. What begins as a simple conversation becomes a life-changing encounter with the Living God.

The message of this Sunday is deeply personal for all of us:Christ meets us where we are.

He meets us in our questions, our struggles, our weariness, and even our doubts — and He offers living water that truly satisfies the soul.

🌿 Today’s Commemorations:• Sunday of the Samaritan Woman• Simon the Zealot and Apostle• Laurence of Egypt• Isodora of Egypt

📖 Today’s Readings:Matins Gospel — John 20:1–10Epistle — Acts 11:19–30Gospel — John 4:5–42

💬 “Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.”— John 4:14

In a world where so many people are spiritually exhausted and searching for peace, this Gospel reminds us that Christ alone is the source of true hope, renewal, and life.

As we continue celebrating the joy of Pascha, may we also open our hearts to the grace and mercy of Christ — just as the Samaritan Woman did.
