The best conversation typically happens around a table.

That's why we are inviting you to join us for a relaxed gathering where we explore big questions about God, faith, justice, doubt, meaning, and what it means to be human.

We're calling it "Water into Wine"-where strangers become neighbors.

So, come and grab a drink, pull up a chair, and join the conversation.

Location: Edonas Wine Not -2754 NC-68 #103, High Point
Date: Monday, June 29th

There are moments when speaking up feels exhausting.

Moments when silence seems easier. Moments when the world rewards division more than community.

Yet the prophet Jeremiah discovered something many of us have learned: some truths refuse to stay quiet. They burn in our bones.

This week at Emerywood Baptist Church, we reflected on what it means to keep showing up, keep speaking hope, and keep believing that another way is possible.

Watch this week's sermon clip below.

📚 Take a book. Leave a book. Discover something new.

We're excited to share that Emerywood Baptist Church now has a Little Free Library located behind the church near the playground!

Whether you're looking for your next great summer read, hoping to pass along a favorite book, or just taking a stroll through the neighborhood, stop by and take a look.

The library is open to everyone—no membership required or deadlines!

So bring a book, borrow a book, or simply come explore what's on the shelves. We hope this small library becomes another way our church can be a welcoming place for our neighbors.

Words from Baptist News Global contributer, Braxton Wade, worth considering,

"Moderation sounds noble until you are the person standing outside its boundaries. Then it feels like delay. Then it feels like exclusion. Then it feels like being asked to wait while people debate your humanity. And history shows us who pays the price for moderation. It is rarely those with power. It is almost always those without it."

In the wake of the Southern Baptist Convention continuing to ban women from the role of ministers within their churches, EBC is proud to have a history where women are not only invited into the pulpit but ordained by our congregation.

The religious leaders asked a question many of us still ask today: How close should faithful people get to the "wrong" people?

Jesus answered with five words that continue to challenge the church: "I desire mercy, not sacrifice."
