Sometimes you can explain something, and even show evidence for it, but until someone is convicted and convinced for themselves of the right response to the information there’s only so much you can do.
There’s an old English proverb that illustrates this quite well: “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.”
Leaving people alone to make their own choices may seem like a more comfortable option but it’s not necessarily the most peaceful one.
Avoiding possible conflict or discomfort or dismissal is not the same being at peace and sometimes the only way for people to know about something of supreme importance is by going and telling them about it.
