WHAT DO I WEAR? At the Heath Church of Christ, some choose to dress more formally while others dress much more casually. INVITATIONS
We are interested in talking with anyone who is prompted by the Lord to become an active vital part of HCC. We extend an invitation at the conclusion of each service for personal prayer needs, if you would like to become a Christian, or want to make this your church home through membership. Invitations aren't just limited to Sundays. If you have questions about becoming a Christian or joining HCC, please feel free to call the office at any time.

Are you looking to go deeper in your understanding of God's Word, and make connections with others along the way? You are invited to join one of the Wednesday evening Bible studies meeting weekly from 6:30 to 7:30p.

Have kids? Bring them along! The nursery is staffed with loving volunteers for children 2 yrs. and younger. Interactive Bible classes are available for preschool and elementary students.

God does not call the qualified -- He qualifies the called. Moses stood before a burning bush at 80 years old, full of excuses, convinced his best days were behind him. Yet God had him exactly where He wanted him.

The same God who spoke to Moses through that burning bush -- the great I Am -- is the same Savior calling you today. Your confidence is not in who you are. It is in who He is, who He has always been, and who He will forever be.

What burning bush moment have you been walking past? Slow down. Listen. He has you right where He wants you.

Moses had every credential imaginable -- royal education, cultural fluency, physical strength, and a burning desire for justice. Yet at 40 years old, with all that going for him, he was powerless to move a nation. Why? Because God was not finished with him yet.

Like the waters of Niagara Falls being redirected through turbines before reaching the rim, our gifts and resources must be harnessed by a higher purpose before they can truly serve others. Moses forgot to look up (Exodus 2:12). He tried to hide things in the sand. And God redirected him to the desert -- not as punishment, but as preparation.

The question is simple: which version of yourself will you offer to God today -- the unfinished 40-year-old, or the one who has let Him complete His work? God already has his answer prepared before you even cry out. Trust the process.

From September to May, we are going to practice the way of Jesus together as a church family. Each month, we will focus on a different practice that we highlight at HCC, and there will be four small habits to practice for four weeks each month. For the month of September, we will be focusing on the habit of prayer. Participants are invited to do all four habits, just one habit, or take the habits deeper. The goal of practicing the way of Jesus is not achievement but transformation. Jesus cares a lot more about who you are becoming than what you achieve in life.
