Psalm 23 reminds us that our Shepherd doesn’t promise a life free from trials... but He does promise His presence. He leads us, comforts us, and remains faithful every step of the way.

If I’m brand new in Jesus, why do I still struggle with old habits?

“throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception.
Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.
Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

Growing into Jesus-likeness is a process!

But trust the process!

“No one joins Jesus whole and intact!”

Jesus was cut so that we could be grafted into him. We are also cut from the old, stripped of our leaves, whittled down to almost nothing so that we might become a new and better thing in Jesus!
Yet bound together in love, there we receive new life-giving nourishment from God!

This is how grafting works. This is how God turns fruitless branches into bountiful harvests.

“Abide in me and you will bear much fruit!” - Jesus (John 15:5)

“Branches were broken off, and you, … were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root” - Romans 11:17

“Abide in me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” - John 15:4
