❤️ LOVING OUR NEIGHBORS THROUGH THE FLOOD
For more than a week, devastating flooding and repeated heavy rains have impacted many of our neighboring communities throughout Perry and Muskingum Counties. Families have been displaced, homes and belongings have been damaged, and for many, the difficult work of cleaning up and rebuilding is only beginning.
With another round of heavy rain overnight, please continue to keep these families and communities in your prayers.
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
There are several ways we can come alongside our neighbors right now:
🙌 VOLUNTEER WITH SAMARITAN’S PURSE
Samaritan’s Purse is currently here in our area serving families affected by the flooding and helping with ongoing cleanup and recovery.
Volunteers are helping homeowners clean out flooded homes and basements, remove damaged drywall and flooring, salvage belongings, clear debris and fallen trees, and begin the difficult process of recovery.
Their local disaster-relief operation is based at:

🙏 MOST IMPORTANTLY, PLEASE PRAY
Pray for the families who have lost homes, belongings and so much of what once felt normal.
Pray for protection as our communities continue to experience heavy rain. Pray for our first responders, volunteers, churches and relief organizations working tirelessly to serve those affected.
And pray that through every case of water donated, every home cleaned, every financial gift given and every hand extended, people would experience the love, comfort and hope of Jesus Christ.
“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18
There is still much work to be done, and there are many ways each of us can help.
Let’s continue to pray, give, serve, and love our neighbors well. ❤️
