📖 **Matthew 5:3**
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.”

Jesus begins the Sermon on the Mount with a surprising truth. The blessed life starts not with self-sufficiency, but with recognizing our need for God. To be "poor in spirit" is to come before Him with humility, knowing that we cannot save ourselves and that everything we truly need is found in Him.

The kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who depend on God rather than their own strength. That kind of humility opens the door to His grace, His presence, and His transforming work in our lives.

Today is a good day to come before God with an open heart and a humble spirit.

🎬 REWIND

“Jesus didn't tell us to judge by appearances. He told us to look at the fruit.

False prophets don't usually arrive wearing a name tag that says, ‘False Prophet.’

They often sound convincing.
They may appear spiritual.
They can even say the right things.

But Jesus said, ‘By their fruit you will recognize them.’

Fruit takes time to grow, but eventually it reveals what's really happening beneath the surface.

The question isn't merely, ‘What are they saying?’

The deeper question is:
👉 ‘What kind of life is their teaching producing?’

Truth produces Christlikeness.
Truth produces obedience.
Truth produces a deeper love for God and others.

Jesus calls His followers to live with discernment, not suspicion. To pay attention not only to words, but to fruit.

🍎 What kind of fruit are you seeing in the voices that influence your life?

Luke’s experience in Guatemala opened his eyes in a powerful way.

He noticed right away that the culture felt different. Life was less rushed, people were deeply relational, and there was a joy and openness that made an impact on him. Being there gave him a chance to see how God was moving in another part of the world, and then come home with that same mission-minded heart.

For Luke, one of the biggest parts of the trip is the medical outreach. He knows that some of the hardest moments in life come when people are sick, hurting, or feel like no one is there for them. Sending a team to serve people in those moments is one way to show the love and compassion of Jesus in a real, practical way.

But Luke also sees how this trip changes the people who go.

It opens eyes.
It grows faith.
It changes the way students live, serve, and share Jesus when they come back home.

Whether they are talking with believers or non-believers, experiences like this can shape the way students carry their faith into everyday life.

Would you consider supporting Luke and our Guatemala team? Your gift helps send students and leaders to serve those in need, grow in their walk with Jesus, and come home ready to live on mission here too.

What if the most dangerous voices in your life… sound spiritual?

Jesus gives one of His clearest warnings in Matthew 7:

Watch out.
Not everyone who sounds right is leading you toward life.
Not everything wrapped in religious language is rooted in truth.
Not every “good fruit” is actually good.

This Sunday, we’re stepping into Matthew 7:15–23 and talking about discernment, deception, and the difference between a faith that only looks alive… and a life that truly belongs to Jesus.

Because Jesus doesn’t just warn us about wolves outside the flock.
He warns us about wolves dressed like sheep.

And then He presses even deeper:
Is our faith just words?
Just appearance?
Just activity?

Or is there real fruit growing from a real relationship with Him?

This is the kind of message that helps us wake up, pay attention, and walk wisely in a world full of noise, half-truths, spiritual shortcuts, and polished counterfeits.

You may not want to miss this one.

Join us this Sunday IN PERSON. It really is THE BEST way to experience worship, community, and the message together.

📖 **John 15:2**
“He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”

Growth is not always comfortable. Sometimes God removes distractions, habits, or seasons that keep us from becoming who He is shaping us to be. Other times, He gently prunes areas of our lives so that deeper growth can take place.

Pruning is not punishment. It is part of God’s loving work in us, preparing us to bear even more fruit for His purpose and glory.

Today is a good day to trust the work God is doing, even in the seasons that feel difficult.

Sometimes God plants a calling in someone’s heart long before they fully understand where it will lead.

As Miya shared about the upcoming Guatemala Mission Trip, one thing stood out clearly: she simply wants God to use her however He chooses. Whether that’s serving, encouraging others, praying, leading worship, or helping in small everyday ways, she’s stepping out in faith with an open heart.

She also shared how hearing others talk about missions inspired her to begin praying about it for herself — and now she believes missions could even be part of her future.

This trip is more than travel. It’s an opportunity for students and leaders to grow in faith, discover purpose, and experience how God works through willing hearts.

Would you consider supporting our Guatemala Mission Team as they prepare to go and serve?

📖 **Proverbs 9:10**

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

True wisdom begins with the right foundation. It is more than intelligence, experience, or information. Scripture teaches that wisdom starts with reverence for God, recognizing who He is and allowing His truth to shape how we live.

The more we know God, the more clearly we understand life, purpose, and the path He calls us to walk.

Today is a good day to seek wisdom by drawing closer to the Lord.
