First Lutheran’s stewardship charge has always been “Don’t give ‘til it hurts, rather give ‘til it feels good”. Having counted donations occasionally on Monday mornings, we have quite a few members and friends feeling good about our missions and their continued support of the same. September brings renewed opportunities to support Youth activities at the Church. Please give your time, talents, and support to this mission.

A Message from the Outreach Committee
FLC Outreach has designated “School Supply Essentials” as the September outreach effort. Over the course of the Sundays of September 6, 13, 20, 27, cash donations may be placed in the “wicker” basket in the narthex and/or the following items can be placed in the collection box on the north side of the narthex. These items include:
• Boys’ sweat pants (Youth small/medium)
• Boys’ socks
• Boys’ underwear (Youth small-medium)
• Glue sticks
• Erasable Markers
Collected items will be given to Hayward Elementary, LCO Elementary, and Winter Elementary schools. Thanks for being someone’s good news!

OCTOBERFEST GERMAN DINNER. September 10th @ 5:30 in the Fellowship Hall Reason: Help us buy new choir robes.
MENU: Knackwurst/German brats, Hot German potato salad etc. Tickets will be on sale before and after church on Saturday and Sunday. $20 for adults. $8 for children under 12. There are sign-up sheets for volunteering in the German Dinner folder at the WELCOME CENTER.

This weekend our congregation installed Elisabeth Grack as Children, Youth and Family Coordinator and our incoming Parish Leaders. We also commissioned Joe Wadas as he begins his education to be a spiritual leader. Blessings to all.
