Anchor Ministry The purpose of the Anchor Ministry page is to equip parents to diligently teach the Word of God to their children. Who are we? When do we meet?

We are the Youth Group of First Baptist Church Haynesville. Sunday Morning 9am
Sunday Evening 6-7pm
Wed. Night: 6.30-7.30pm

About Us:
All of us are created in the image of God. We are all His workmanship (we are all His masterpiece). Because of this fact we love everyone as Christ first loved us. The problem though is sin. When God made the first man and woman, they sinned against Him by thinking

they knew better than God and not trusting what He told them. The result of that fall is we are all born with a nature to put ourselves first. The Bible even says that we all hate God. This separates us from God, leaving us standing before Him condemned. There is good news though. God being rich in mercy (giving us what we don't deserve) became what He created in Jesus. Those of us that have been given new life by Christ are now the visible and touchable body of Christ to all we come in contact with. That is why we meet together. To be the body of Christ. Christ has changed us and breathed life into our body. He came and met us when we were dead in sin. We now all say with Peter and John, "We cannot help but tell of the things that we have seen and heard from our time spent with Christ." Acts 4:20
Come meet Jesus. You may know who He is but He wants more. He wants you to love Him and surrender to His lordship.

We had “Dress Like Another Youth” night at our Youth Bible Study on Friday night! We had a great night of digging into the Word, and into Mr. Scott’s chili! These young people could’ve been anywhere on Friday night, but they chose to be together growing in their walk with the Lord!

What a week! We’re coming home as SuperWow Cup champions (go Orange Team)! More importantly, we had one more student recommit their life to the Lord last night! We also had teenagers broken and confessing sin to one another. As we head home, be praying for these students. They’re leaving a spiritual high and going back to normal routines. Pray they’ll continue to pursue Jesus with the same excitement and commitment. The world is going to try to tug at them, and this culture is pulling hard. If they try to pull back in their own strength, they won’t win. But if Christ is their anchor, He’s more than victorious!

God is SO good! We’ve had 3 more students get saved! These three knew Jesus, but not as Lord. They believed in Jesus, but not to the point that it changed their lives. They realized they needed to surrender their lives and pursue Christ!

Our students have been pouring their hearts out to the Lord this week in worship, prayer, and small groups. Last night, every single one of them was down at the alter praying over one another. Today is the last day of SuperWow, but it’s not the last day of the Lord changing lives! Continue lifting our teenagers up in prayer!

We had not one, but FOUR salvations last night!! Our teenagers are broken over their sins. They wrote down the things they’ve been filling their hearts with instead of letting Jesus satisfy them, and then laid them down at the alter. Pray for them that they leave those things at the alter and don’t pick them back up, which the world would love for them to do. We’re only halfway through the week, we can’t wait to see all the Lord still has in store for us!

Congratulations to our 2024 grads! This group of girls entered the youth as 6th graders when Pastor Matt and Mrs. Tiff first came to FBCH. Walking beside them in their journey though middle and high school, and watching the Lord shape them into the young women they are today has been a joy. Excited and expectant that the Lord is going to accomplish much thorough them!
