🎶Great is thy faithfulness, O God, my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.

Great is thy faithfulness,
Great is thy faithfulness,
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is thy faithfulness,
Lord unto me. 🎶

Monday morning truths from Sunday’s sermon.

I am not ashamed!
1. Of the gospel. Romans 1:16
2. Of the Word of God. Psalm 119:46
3. Of being a Christian. 2 Timothy 1:8

- The word gospel means good news. It is the good news of Jesus Christ.

- The world may mock that message. People may reject it. Some may consider it foolishness. But Paul was not ashamed! And neither should we be.

- The world is bold about their causes. The world has gotten louder while God’s people have gotten quiet.

- How long would it take someone to scroll your social media before they found out anything about Jesus? What about the people you work with? Don’t be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ!

- We believe the Bible is the Word of God. We should not be embarrassed by its teachings simply because they are unpopular.

- Moms and dads, don’t be ashamed of the Bible! When your kids ask why something is right or wrong, show them from the Bible.

- Don't be ashamed to identify yourself with Christ.

- Don't hide the fact that you are a Christian because you are afraid of what others will think.

- We should not compromise our faith or be ashamed of Christ just to fit in with people.

- The world may criticize those of us who follow Jesus Christ, but that does not make Him any less worthy of our devotion.

🎼 Though the sky be dark and drear,
Fierce and strong the gale,
Just remember He is near,
And He will not fail.

Jesus never fails, Jesus never fails;
Heav’n and earth may pass away,
But Jesus never fails. 🎼

Tuesday morning truths from Sunday’s sermon.
Matthew 16:21-25

1. Self denial
2. Sacrifice
3. Submission

- Anything in life that is worthwhile requires discipline. The same is true in the Christian life.

- You know who my biggest problem is? Myself.

- The disciplined Christian life is making Jesus the center, not ourselves.

- You will not grow as a Christian if you are constantly feeding your flesh.

- How do I know if I have denied myself? Answer this question, who is the highest authority in your life?

- The central idea of carrying your cross is being willing to follow Christ even when it costs us something. Even if it brings suffering or persecution. Even if it means standing alone.

- Following Jesus will not always be comfortable. Sometimes it will cost you something. Sometimes you will have to stand alone. Sometimes doing right will be harder than doing wrong. Carry your cross.

- It’s not Christ following us, it’s us following Christ.

- We follow Christ by following His Word.

Monday morning truths from Sunday’s sermon.
Acts 7:51-60

- All good Bible preaching at times we’ll get direct and personal.

- Biblical preaching is not merely about sharing information; it also exposes sin, corrects error, and calls people to respond to God.

- God wants to use the preaching of His Word in your life. Bible preaching is to help you and to develop you in your Christian life.

- If you’re lost, the most foolish decision in the world is to resist the Holy Ghost.

- How can a saved person resist the Holy Ghost? God can speak through His Word, and we can refuse to listen. God’s word pricks our hearts. You hear something preached and you see it in the Bible but you refuse you listen. God can expose something in our lives, and we can make excuses.

- The right decision is always to say yes to God.

- When He shows you that you are going in the wrong direction, humble yourself and turn back to Him.

🎶 The Lord is good
Tell it wherever you go,
The Lord is good
Tell it that others may know;
Tell of His blessings and tell of His love,
Tell how He’s coming from heaven above:
The Lord is good
Tell it wherever you go! 🎶

Monday morning truths from Sunday’s sermons.

1. Christ centered
2. Bible based
3. Missions minded

- The church is not a museum of God’s masterpieces, but it is a spiritual hospital. We are not perfect people bragging about our goodness. We are saved by grace, pointing sinners to the Saviour!

- Jesus Christ is the founder of the church. Jesus Christ is the head of the church.

- In order for the church to fulfill its purposes, the church must submit to Christ.

- The center of everything in the church is to be Christ.

- The center of everything in your life and in your family is to be Christ.

- Our worship must bring glory to Christ rather than draw attention to ourselves.

- God has ordained for the local church to be pastored by a man of God. The pastor is to teach and preach the word of God.

- Acts 1:8. Jerusalem was where the disciples were when Jesus gave this instruction. We learn here that missions starts right where we are!

- Even people who may be difficult to reach with the gospel, the church is still to have a heart to reach those people.

- “A church is not a church when the passion for souls is gone.”— Dr. Lee Roberson

🎶 There’s a name above all others,
Wonderful to hear, bringing hope and cheer;
It’s the lovely name of Jesus,
Evermore the same, what a lovely name!

What a lovely name, this name of Jesus,
Reaching higher far than the brightest star;
Sweeter than the songs they sing in heaven,
Let the world proclaim, what a lovely name! 🎶
