Dreams: First steps in reaching one of the dreams expressed at the Annual Meeting—Increase relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ at Incarnation Holy Sacrament.

Ash Wednesday—
In the morning, Rev. Sarah (HC) and Fr. Benjamin (IHS) administered Ashes to Go at the two Wawa’s in Drexel Hill and then led a noon and evening service at each respective church.

All parts of this combined outreach were a huge success.

New Home for Food Pantry donations
We have been looking for a new home for all the food supplies our donors have given for the Little Food Pantry. Since we opened the Pantry, we have been trying to cram the cans, bottles and packages onto two shelves and a plastic container in the Choir Room. We always felt bad as we were taking the choir’s space.

Sue and Mark removed all the supplies, games, etc. that were stored in office of the former Youth program director (the last office on the left in the UPH). The youth stuff is being organized and will find a new home.

We moved some of the furniture that was in that room around and now have two large shelving units dedicated to food storage. We have moved all the food onto those two shelving units. The food is organized into categories and looks great. You can now actually see what we have (and thereby see what we could use). Plans are to finish it by putting some labels on the shelves.

The Bishop sent $13,000 to each Deanery and our Deanery decided to divide the $13,000 evenly among the seven churches that are doing direct food distribution. He asked that we concentrate on items like diapers and baby formulae and other similar items. That will be a fun shopping day and will fill all the available shelving…Another reason we had to do this now.

All Saints’ Day, 2025—The Altar of Remembrance at Holy Comforter comes from a concept rooted primarily in the Bible (especially the Old Testament) where physical monuments were built to serve as a tangible, permanent memorial of God's faithfulness, intervention, and covenant with His people. The purpose was to provide a visual reminder of significant divine events for current and future generations. The congregation of Incarnation Holy Sacrament joined us for this occasion of reverent remembrance, sharing personal testimonies and creating a "remembrance table" with photos and notes.
