Sgt. Robert Klimczak, known around our church as "Metallica Rob," is retiring from the US Army Reserves after 20 years of good service.
Two tours in Iraq:
'06 & '07 with the 56 Striker Brigade
'08 & '09 with the 213 Charlie Battery
Most recently tending to countless State Missions with the National Guard as part of the 876 Bravo Company (Chester Springs, PA).

Please join us on July 5 as we celebrate with him AND the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Thank you, Rob, for your service to this country.
Thank you, even more, for being you--a friendly and caring child of God.

This wonderful, brilliant robotics team has THREE mission partners of Temple Lutheran Church: Oliver, David, and Ben.
Roboforce (Haverford High School) is moving on to the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS in Houston, TX. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these students.
Please consider contributing to the team to help reduce the cost of this trip for the 29 students and 8 mentors.

Tomorrow: Saturday, March 14, is our Annual Taste of Italy Spaghetti Dinner.
Homemade sausage, hand-rolled meatballs, veggie lasagna option for the vegetarians... The meal is shaping up to be awesome!
We also have an epic raffle. Almost 40 prizes from vendors all around the Philadelphia area.
Tickets are $25 at the door or $20 in advance (before 3/14 at 11AM). Kids 3-10 are $10.
This event is BYOB. Feel free to bring your favorite wine or beer.

To all those who have reached out asking how they can help their neighbors since SNAP benefits are set to dry up on Nov. 1:
The TLC Food Pantry is conferring on how we can go above and beyond our regular initiatives to serve our neighbors. We’ll announce this shortly.
In the meantime, you’re encouraged to donate any of the following items:
Dish Soap
Laundry Detergent
Paper Towels
Toilet Paper
Fruit/Applesauce - Cans or Plastic
Canned Chicken, Tuna, and Salmon
Snack Items
Canned Veggies
Soup
Please NO GLASS for the safety of our patrons and volunteers
Please No Expired items
Items can be dropped off literally any time. In the courtyard of the church (on Brookline Blvd), there are two storage bins that items can be placed in/near. We have volunteers coming daily to collect items and put them in the pantry.
