Happy Mother’s Day to all women who love with the heart of our Blessed Mother. We are grateful for your presence and the joy and care you bring to our world. Thank you to these beautiful mothers and their adorable children for participating in our Pre-K/kindergarten Class Mass this morning. May the Blessed Mother and her angels guide and protect you.

On Saturday, May 9 the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will ordain three new permanent deacons during a Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul. Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will be the principal celebrant.

Today we remember the life of a young girl named Bernadette. Her story is one of Faith, Hope, and Love. This poor, young girl was visited by the Blessed Mother 18 times at a grotto in Lourdes, France. During these visits, Bernadette was asked to pray the rosary, do penance, and drink from the healing waters that she dug from the earth. Bernadette shared her story with as many people as she could even though the majority did not believe her. May our hearts and minds follow the simple example of this young girl and trust that our Heavenly Mother will intercede for us. St. Bernadette of Lourdes, pray for us.
