The world tells us, "don't get mad, get even". Jesus tells us to forgive (Matthew 5:38-48). The Word of God reminds us of this in 1 Peter 3:8-9. Which one is more powerful? The way that heals temporarily? Or the way that heals for eternity?

The world offers catchy phrases to simplify marriage, but God’s vision is deeper. Marriage isn’t about managing emotions to keep peace—it’s a covenant where two people reflect Christ’s love. Wives are called to respect their husbands not because men earn it, but to mirror Christ’s sacrificial grace. This submission isn’t weakness; it’s a bold choice to trust God’s design. Even when husbands falter, a wife’s quiet strength can point them to Jesus. True joy comes when both spouses fix their eyes on Him.

Men, we want to invite you to join us Sunday morning from 7:00–8:00 AM for a time of prayer together at Hastings Berean Bible Church (316 N Lexington Ave).

There’s something powerful about men gathering together before the Lord: bringing our families, our community, and our city before Him in prayer. Whether you’ve been coming for years or you’re just checking us out, all men are welcome.

Trust the process! Keith is one of our Elders, and reminds us in 1 Peter 2:21-25 that we are called to trust in Jesus when facing any form of suffering, especially when we do what is good in God's eyes. Christ is our example. Do we have the courage to follow Him?

Holiness is impossible when we try to do it in our own strength. But it's who God is and calls us to be. First Peter 1:13-25 challenges us without condemning us.

Are you trying with all your might and just getting frustrated? Be who your Father made you to be: obedient to Him and loving to others. He gets the glory when His kids look like Him!
