Could be a stormy Tuesday in parts of the area!

A couple of upper level disturbances crossing the region will bring thunderstorm chances both today and on Tuesday. The best chances for thunderstorms look to be during the late afternoon and evening hours, and there will be the potential for some to be strong to severe. Large hail, damaging winds and locally heavy rain would be the primary threats with the strongest storms. Gusty southerly winds are expected today through tomorrow, with some locations having gusts near 25 MPH. High temperatures will continue to be above normal, with forecast highs today in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees, and tomorrow in the mid to upper 80s. Looking further ahead, an active weather pattern through the end of the week will keep precipitation chances in the forecast. A cooler air mass building in behind a passing cold front will drop temperatures into the 50s and 60s by Friday.
