As Paul stood in Athens, surrounded by people searching for meaning, purpose, and something to believe in, he made the one true God known.

We were reminded of three important truths:

• Everyone is committed to something.
• Everyone has a god.
• Everyone desires purpose in life.

These truths are worth taking time to think about. What are we committed to? What has first place in our lives? Where are we finding our purpose?

The Power of Almighty God

Last Sunday, we were reminded of the powerful truth that God has the power to set us free from every bo***ge of the enemy.

Through God’s power, Jesus brought healing and freedom to those who were oppressed by the devil.

The power of God is not just something we read about—it is the power that strengthens us, works within us, and brings freedom through Jesus Christ.

Last Sunday, we continued our series ACTS 29 – The Church, An Extension of Jesus’ Mission.

📖 What’s in a Name?
Acts 11:19–26

In this message, we reflected on a word we use very often today: “Christian.”

The term first appears in Antioch, and in its early use, it was even used to identify and mock those who followed Jesus:

“You’re one of those people.”

But what does it really mean to be a Christian?

Being a Christian means:

✝️ Accepting and following Jesus Christ.
❤️ Embracing the values of our Lord.
💪 Not being intimidated by those who disagree with us.

The question is still relevant for us today:

What’s really in a name? Are we simply called Christians, or are we living as followers of Christ?
