Exodus 20:5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

Our God is Jealous for us, not of us. Why shouldn’t He be, its not an after all He made and created us in His image and likeness, its not that all of that which is around you and before you He created, it is not a “we owe Him something,” It is, He loved you before you were in your mother’s womb kind of thing.

As hard as it is to try to understand who God is and what He is about we only have to think that He is greater than we are and since some of His attributes, as being our Father, He has passed on to us we have only to, at times, look at ourselves.

We get jealous if our spouse talks and laughs with someone of the opposite sex…
We get jealous when people don’t recognize our efforts and do other peoples….
We get jealous if someone has something new and we don’t….
We get jealous if someone has control but we think we should……

None of these things are justifiable, and most certainly none of these things are righteous at all, no, no matter how “good,” you are, or even how right people say you are, you still have flaws, as I am flawed as well.

God is, I picture the Lord knowing me prior to me being. Knowing who I am, as at the same time knowing who I’d become(ing). He shaped(ing) me, knitted me together and placed His hope in me. Now dear one though I have said me way to often don’t read it as me-Fran but rather read it as Me-you. We are all His children and He is jealous of you.

If someone asked me what is one thing God wanted it would be that we be with Him forever. As this is the “God Void,” in our lives that all too often people fill it with gods of time, money, control, power, prestige, title, sin. You name it and you’ll find people in history who’ve worshiped it. We should know better, yet we also need to be reminded of it.

God isn’t jealous of who you become, We need to stop thinking we’ve done it ourselves

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

To whom it may concern, “Rise oh Sleeper, A Rise,” Rev. G.Whitefield, is as true today as it was yesterday as it was when Christ met with Nicodemus at night, and as true as it will always be till Jesus comes again!!!!

I know people get, clutchy, when they hear the term, “Born Again.” I know it conjures up feelings and thoughts of religious fervor and frothy pastoral judgement. We so have miss represented the idea of being “Born again,” as some sort of scare tactic and feeling of worthlessness.

Let me persuade you that being “Born again,” is not a malevolent assertion in Christ, rather it is Christ’s willings in hope to come beside you and make you a New Creation in God’s Family. To take your sin and pain and replace such with so great of a love that only the idea of having a New Birth may persuade one’s hope of salvation. Not just for today but in all of your tomorrows. That truly All Joy is at the birth of a soul who gives their life to God thru Christ.

It is not to be feared, though I do understand that we, in our hearts, may fear it. After all it is more than a commitment, more than just words, it is “actionable towards heaven and earth.”

Arise of Sleeper, Arise is a call to wake in the hope of Jesus Christ. To come and lay hold onto such a precious thing as your salvation in Christ. Freely offered, freely given, His grace replaces the sin-guilt and debt in your life with His mercy, His hope, His grace, His forgiveness that in all and of all will raise you up now and now-after.

Arise of Sleeper Arise!!!!!

John 8:8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.

I don’t know why but these sequences of verses are some of the most thought and talked about of opinion on this side or that side. People say (including myself) why didn’t they haul the guy up there, Jesus was writing their sins in the dirt, just to name a couple. What i’ve concluded in my search and research is a great truth, are you ready to hear it? Promise not to get mad at me :D ? Achem: “I don’t know.” boom there you have it, I don’t know why they didn’t haul the dude up there, I don’t know what Jesus wrote on the ground. It seems to me if we focus on what isn’t there we look over what was there.

Christ whom they came to try to trick lowered Himself and wrote on the ground. He’d said a word like “you who are without sin, cast the first stone.” Then He stooped down. Psychology by lowering Himself He didn’t appear to be a threat, His words somehow hung in the air like a “Judges Stare.” Facing those words they were so bothered that they dropped their stones and walked away.

What words has Christ spoken that make you look inside at your stones in your hand, pride in yourself, favoritism of your gender, politics, denomination, that you hold above others because of your frail superiority. So much so that when God says, “you who are without sin, cast the first stone,” you’d have to drop and …. Please don’t turn and walk away, but rather turn to the Son and ask His forgiveness to go and sin no more.

Jesus stooped down, an act of polite dismissiveness, an act of humility and let His words do the convincing that they, we, and I have sinned as well. Jesus didn’t come to berate you a sinner, rather knowing you are a sinner He allowed them to raise Him up on a Cross as the propitiation for your sin.

Come to Jesus, Come to forgiveness, stoop low that He may raise you high. .

Mark 5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”

If only He hadn’t stopped and talked with the woman with the blood issue, if only the crowd wouldn’t have gathered and thronged around Him, if only - if only - if only……The ruler of the synagogue didn’t say any of these things nor am I adding them to as a verse. This is nothing more than just what would be going through my own head if someone came up and said, it's too late she has died. Tell me something beloved, when is it too late for God to do a “God Thing?” It’s never too late because He is God and God was with His Son Jesus.

Have there not been times in your life where the circumstances you’ve found yourself in were less than joyful, less than hopeful, and you were powerless to do anything about it. Where you were normally in control you had none, where you were a doer with nothing you could do. The ruler of the synagogue was in such a similar position and his daughter was gravely ill to the point where mourners had gathered, people were gloom and despair and he was powerless. He’d heard of Jesus and had even heard that Christ was heading in this direction. He had love for his child and was willing to try anything so he went to throw himself at the feet of Jesus.

Well what are you seeking after, have you tried to figure it out on your own and come up empty, dear one you are not alone. Come to Jesus.

This example (not story) of trusting in Christ isn’t lost on you I know. After all you believe God’s word, you know it to be true. Then you add a “but,” to it. Like “but who am I that He should hear my cry,” or but “I’m a sinner who’s not declared faith in Him why should He hear my petition,” or but “I’m not worthy,” or but “I struggle with having faith as a mustard seed.” or what ever “but I,” you use not to ask, cry out, pray, fall prostate, etc…

Do you have faith, no I’m not being judgemental. Do you have faith? It isn’t “if only,” but do you have faith? Do you believe in God enough to ask His Son to come with you? Oh hang on, did I switch that up? No I did not. Everything that Christ did and said was given to Him to do by His Father, God. The same God whom you have faith to say Jesus heal my child, help my job, forgive me of my sin, understanding that “Thy will be done,” is God’s purposeful will. It is not weighted out in gold or silver, of works or stature, but in faith by grace that is your hope because you are in a agape(love) relationship with God the Father thru Christ the Son with the Holy Spirit’s guidance. “Ask, and you shall receive, knock and the way may be opened to you.”

Come to Jesus, just come, if It will help I’ll say please oh Please come to Jesus
