Morningside is a friendly, caring church family. At Morningside, Jesus is the reason we are here. We aren’t a perfect church.

We are a multi-lingual, multi-generational church on mission to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to our community and the nations. We want to show you how much He means to us by the way we love each other, worship together, and proclaim Him in our preaching. Morningside is a friendly church that believes the Bible is God’s Word and embraces the call to make disciples. We’re sinners who have received love and forgiveness. Our mission is to love God, love each other, and love our world. If you're looking for a church family, we'd love to have you be our guest in a worship service and connect to a life group. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!

Pastors Huffman & Ontoy had a great time representing Open Door at Appalachian Bible College’s Missions Conference this week. They were able to connect with many missions minded students and faithful colaborers in ministry. Pray for God to send more laborers into his harvest!

Yesterday morning, during our Homecoming Sunday celebration, we honored Dave Brown for being a part of the Morningside family for over 50 years.

Since becoming a member in October 1974, this is where you would find Dave serving. For decades, he faithfully drove and maintained our buses to help others hear the gospel and be part of our church family.

As he retires from this ministry, please join us in thanking Dave for His quiet, consistent service to the Lord and His people at Morningside! ❤️

Civil Leaders Sunday! 🇺🇸

We were honored to welcome over a dozen elected leaders and candidates from across our community and state. We took time to recognize their service, hear from God’s Word, connect with them as fellow citizens, and pray for them as they bear the responsibility of civil leadership.

We’re thankful for the men and women who sacrifice their time and energy to serve our communities. Regardless of political party or position, Scripture calls us to honor those in authority and pray for them.

Join us in praying that God would give our leaders wisdom, courage, integrity, and strength as they serve and that He would help us as Christians be faithful citizens who seek the good of the community He has placed us in.
