When we treat God’s presence as transactional, rather than approaching Him with awe and a posture of listening, our worship gets out of sync. It reveals a distorted view of how we relate to Him. But the good news is this: Jesus kept the vow we never could and offered Himself once for all.

Because of Him, Christians are free to come near—not to bargain, strive, or demand that God bless our script, but to listen first and allow our desires to be reshaped by His heart.

Life under the sun can leave us marked by oppression, isolation, and endless striving.

But Ecclesiastes reminds us that we were never meant to carry life in our own strength. God invites us to repent of self-reliance, receive the gift of relationships, and find our meaning and security in the presence of Jesus.

Knowledge is a gift, but it was never meant to be a savior.
It may shine light on the mess, but it cannot clean it up. That’s why the gospel is such good news—Jesus doesn’t just reveal truth; He is the Truth who redeems what is broken.
True peace isn’t found in figuring everything out, but in trusting the One who already has.

You can succeed outwardly and still feel inwardly bankrupt.
Ecclesiastes reminds us that work has value, but it was never meant to be our source of ultimate meaning. Apart from God, even our greatest accomplishments can leave us empty. But when we acknowledge Him, ordinary work becomes infused with purpose.

Life isn’t fake, but it can often feel elusive—like trying to grasp mist in your hands.

Ecclesiastes invites us to be honest about that tension. This is not cynicism; it is a reminder that God, in His wisdom, allows us to feel the weight of life so we won’t settle for shallow answers.

There is hope, meaning, and truth found in the light of the Son.
