As we begin a new month, let’s be reminded that desperation is not the absence of faith - it is faith refusing to go anywhere but God.

Psalm 86 invites us to bring our worries, needs, and uncertainties honestly before the Lord. We don’t have to have everything figured out to turn to Him. His steadfast love gives us confidence to pray, worship through hardship, and trust Him with what lies ahead.

As we head into a busy week, let’s reflect on Psalm 131 and be reminded that a quiet soul does not come from understanding everything, controlling every circumstance, or accomplishing enough to finally feel secure.

True peace is received when we release our need for control and trust the God who holds everything.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His steadfast love endures forever.” — Psalm 107:1
Psalm 107 tells the stories of wanderers, prisoners, the sick, and storm-tossed travelers—people facing very different circumstances but sharing the same desperate need for God.
Each time they cry out, the Lord meets them with loyal love, rescue, and grace. Their stories remind us that no situation is beyond God’s reach and no need is too great for His steadfast love.

Whatever season you are walking through, give thanks to the Lord—He is good, and His love endures forever.
