Doctrinal Statement
• We hold the Bible to be the final authority in all things. We believe in the total accuracy of scripture.
2nd Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
• We believe God is who He claims to be, will do what
He says He will do, and we are who He says we are as revealed in scripture.
• We are Trinitarian
John 14:25-26 "All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
• We believe God to be proactive in pursuing a relationship with all mankind
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
• We believe in the virgin birth, the crucifixion, death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ
Matthew 1:22-23 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" --which means, "God with us." Acts 4:10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
• We believe Jesus Christ to be the sole means of salvation for mankind. John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
• We believe in the return of Jesus Christ. John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am
• We believe we are saved by God’s mercy, received through faith, empowered by Grace resulting in good works. Romans 11:32 For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all. Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-
• We practice wholeness, healing of body, mind, relationships and spirit
James 5:13-14 Is any one of you in trouble? Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.
• We will practice believers baptism as a public testimony of one’s faith.
• We will practice open Communion.
• We believe God to be proactive in the Sanctification of believers. Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
• We believe in the general resurrection and life everlasting in the presence and fellowship with God. John 11:25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;
