Some people are called to lead, but few live out that calling with the heart, humility, and selflessness that our pastor does every single day.
Today, we want to take a moment to honor a man who consistently goes above and beyond for his church, his family, and the people God has placed in his life. Even when life gets heavy, he continues to show up with a servant’s heart, putting others before himself and keeping his eyes fixed on the Gospel. He carries more than most people will ever see, yet you would hardly know it by the way he loves, serves, and encourages those around him.
His life is a reflection of what it means to live for Jesus. He never misses an opportunity to share the love of God, point people toward Christ, or remind others of the hope found in Him. His days are filled with serving, leading, loving, and pouring into others, often sacrificing his own time and comfort for the good of the church. And while he might sometimes rather be out fishing, God has clearly given him a heart for something much bigger!
Of course, we cannot celebrate our pastor without mentioning the legendary dad jokes. Whether they make us laugh, groan, or shake our heads, he keeps telling them anyway, sometimes just to bring a smile to someone's face—even at home! And that is part of what makes him so special. Behind every terrible joke is a heart that genuinely wants to make others feel loved, seen, and encouraged.
He is a hardworking man, a devoted husband, a loving father to a houseful of kids (12 or so, who's counting?), and a pastor whose life revolves around serving God and His church. He leads not just with words from a pulpit, but through the way he lives, the sacrifices he makes, and the love he pours into people day after day.
Pastor, we pray you know how deeply you are loved, valued, and appreciated. We see your dedication, we recognize your sacrifices, and we are grateful for the countless ways you serve—even when no one is watching. Thank you for remaining faithful to the calling God has placed on your life, for leading with love, and for continually pointing people back to Jesus.
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” — 3 John 1:4
We are thankful God placed you in our lives and gave us a pastor who doesn't just preach the Gospel, but lives it. May the Lord strengthen you, refresh your spirit, bless your family, and remind you often that the seeds you are planting are making an eternal difference.
Happy Pastor Appreciation! We love you, Pastor, and we thank God for you!
