As we wrap up another Step Study at Celebrate Recovery, we want to take a moment to explain what’s next.
Typically, after completing a Step Study, there is a season of rest before beginning another one. This time is intentional. We believe the pause between Step Studies is just as important as the Step Study itself.
The Steps aren’t simply something we complete and move on from. They are principles we are called to live out. After spending months digging into our hurts, habits, and hang-ups, we need time to process what God has shown us, practice what we’ve learned, and begin applying these principles to our everyday lives.
And that’s exactly why this season is so important. The goal of working the Steps isn’t simply to finish a Step Study and immediately start another one. The final step calls us to carry what we’ve learned into the lives of others...to go and make disciples, to serve, and to get involved. We want to give people the opportunity to take what God has done in them and begin pouring it into someone else.
This upcoming season is an opportunity for our ministry to grow. We're going to use this time to invest in leadership, develop new leaders, provide leadership training, strengthen our ministry teams, and prepare for what God has next for Celebrate Recovery.
We know some of you may be excited and ready to jump right back in, and we LOVE that hunger! But sometimes growth doesn’t happen by doing more. Sometimes growth happens when we slow down, put into practice what we’ve learned, and allow God to prepare us for the next season.
Thank you for trusting the process and allowing us to steward this ministry well. We believe God has more for Celebrate Recovery, and we’re excited about what He’s building in this next season!
With love and prayers,
Curtis & Taylor
