Our first outdoor worship night of the season was absolutely amazing. Several local Christian Hip Hop artists were present to bless the community with amazing worship, powerful messages and real life testimonies impacting the hearts of everyone present. A free dinner was enjoyed by all and the night ended with 5 life changing baptisms. Praise God!! We would also like to give a special thank you to 95.5 Boost Radio for being onsite and V1 Environmental for graciously blessing us with two porta potties.

If you would like to be a part of what God is doing to bring our community together, Jesus Saves will have three additional outdoor community worship nights for all ages on the 3rd Friday of June, July and August from 5:30pm-8pm. We wanted to give our heartfelt gratitude to the Greg Holthaus Memorial Fund for donating an AED to Jesus Saves Ministries. With the opening of our third building to lead more friends to Christ and helping them find freedom from their addiction and homelessness, the Lord obviously knew we needed an AED so we can be prepared.

A saved physical life means another opportunity to choose Jesus. Thank you Jesus for all that you have done and continue to do. It is in your name that we labor and it is for your glory that we continue on.

Last night was such a powerful evening at Jesus Saves. The worship was amazing, the testimonies were powerful, and many people came forward in baptism. We wanted to do an evening that really focused on youth and young adults, which is why we chose to do a Christian Hip Hop evening. One of the most powerful moments of the evening was seeing one of our beautiful youth come forward in baptism and watching her Hope Hangout friends run from across the crowd to surround her and lay healing hands of prayer upon her.

In a world where everything feels against you, we need more places in our communities where our children can be safe in the Lord’s hands. I pray one day there will be a Jesus Saves and Hope Hangout in cities all around us. Where the least, the lost, the forgotten and broken, come to find rest and restoration through Jesus.

If you have a child 5th-12th grade, Hope Hangout is a safe, background checked adult environment, with free food, encouraging messages, and activities and fun for all to be had. Please join us every Friday from 6:30pm-8pm. 3717D Nameoki Rd - Granite City.

Today Jesus Saves Ministries would like to thank Granite City Mayor Mike Parkinson. Homelessness and addiction has been a long outstanding issue, and Mayor Parkinson has been extremely supportive in being a part of the solution in working together to bring change in our community. He is passionate about hand up solutions, and that is exactly what Jesus Saves Ministries is accomplishing through the grace and favor of Jesus.

People once on the streets are now successfully living in homes. People once hunched over in addiction on a park bench are now clean and giving back. People once living out of dumpsters are now employed and able to feed others. People are being set free in the name of Jesus. Chains are breaking. Bo***ge is being defeated. Lives are being restored.

Change is possible, but it takes a village, and the outpouring of support we have received from churches, individuals, businesses, social service agencies, medical facilities, the police department and Mayor Parkinson himself has been humbling and absolutely amazing. If you’re interested in being part of the solution, please reach out to us, and help bring everlasting change.

Today is community outreach at the Community Care center 1818 Cleveland Blvd from 12:30-2:00pm with clothing, hair cuts and a hot meal donated by Ravanellis and Doc’s Smokehouse, and tomorrow (Sunday) is church pick up at the McDonald’s on Madison Ave between 9am-10am or meet us at the R-Church 10:30am service and hot lunch donated by Uncle Linny’s.
