Zion Reformed Church

Zion Reformed Church You don’t need your life together to be welcome at Zion.

Most of us don’t have life figured out yet either, but we have found that seeking God together is easier than seeking God alone.

The first Middle School Weekly Game Day is today from 1:00 to 3:00 at Zion! The youth room is full of chairs at the moment, so it will be in the classroom across from it. If your child is in 6th-8th grade, they're welcome to come join Andrew and play some games.

Also, tomorrow will be the first High School Weekly Coffee Hangout! Andrew will be at the Grandville Wildroast from 10:00 to 12:00. If you're in high school and want a free coffee, come join him anytime during that time.

Today we talked about the importance of understanding that the Bible is one overarching story made up of a variety of texts, written by different authors for different theological reasons.

Our first summer Book Club will meet next Monday evening, June 1st at 7:00 PM on the patio at Rush Creek Bistro. (We will move indoors in inclement weather.)

We will discuss the book "Americanah" by Chimamanda Adichie.

For planning purposes, please let Pastor Marcia know if you hope to attend!

Ifemelu and Obinze are young and in love when they depart military-ruled Nigeria for the West. Beautiful, self-assured Ifemelu heads for America, where despite her academic success, she is forced to grapple with what it means to be Black for the first time. Quiet, thoughtful Obinze had...

Way to go, Tom!

Volunteer of the Month: Tom! 👏💙

Tom is a faithful volunteer who helps assemble boxes for our Community Packing Events each week. While we’re still waiting on the final numbers, it’s probably safe to say Tom logged the most volunteer hours once again this year. When asked about his favorite part of CPEs, Tom shared:

“Watching kids from stroller age to the 94-year-old twins, and people of all abilities, in the same room, making a difference together.”

What a beautiful picture of community. We’re so grateful for volunteers like Tom who faithfully show up week after week to help deliver hope to kids.
