Why did Jesus spend time with sinners? Because that's who He came to save.
In Luke 15, Jesus shares the powerful parable of the lost sheep. The shepherd doesn't wait for the wandering lamb to find its way home—he goes searching until he finds it. And when he does, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing all the way home.
That's the heart of God for you. You don't have to clean yourself up first. You can't earn your way to heaven through good works or religious activity. Like that lost sheep, we're incapable of saving ourselves. But Jesus left heaven to find you, and when you trust in Him, He carries you home. Heaven itself erupts in celebration when one sinner repents.

Connecting in church isn't optional—it's commanded. We weren't made to walk alone. When we fellowship with God and each other through prayer, study, and vulnerability, we find strength. This summer, let's break isolation: smile, invite, serve, and share. Unity changes the world.

God never intended for us to walk alone. In Genesis 2:18, He declared, "It is not good that man should be alone." Yet we're living in a loneliness epidemic—even within our churches.

The early church in Acts 2 had it figured out. They studied together, prayed together, ate together, and sacrificed for one another—daily. They weren't just attending an event; they were living as a connected body. When one rejoiced, all rejoiced. When one hurt, all hurt.

This summer, let's challenge ourselves: Who can you invite over? Who needs to hear "I'm praying for you"? When's the last time you studied Scripture with a brother or sister? Real connection requires vulnerability, accountability, and intentionality. Iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), but only when there's contact.

The world is watching. Jesus prayed in John 17:21 that we'd be one "so that the world may believe." Our unity is our witness. Let's stop isolating and start connecting.
