*BHRS MEMORY: In remote Italy. Specifically in the Angrognia valley region of the Cottian Alps. This is one of the locations that the Waldenses would train their preachers in the middle centuries. Here they studied under the tutelage of an older Preacher. These preachers were called Barbas and were viewed like a young man would view a loving, nurturing uncle. The point was for the young Preacher to memorize the Bible before he went out to face a hostile world and possibly give his very life for the cause of Christ.
