I am just going to say it: So many people think nothing of slandering others; making accusations without evidence or foundation; editorializing when they should be stating only facts. It's OK to have an opinion, but not when your opinion is based on falsehoods. Well, my parents each told me to never assume. Because we see something on social media, or on a news broadcast, that resonates about how we already view or feel about someone or something, we run with it without vetting that information. That, my friends, is just wrong. This song, SPEAK!, a collaboration between David Granati and me, was born out of a desire for truth; a calling to seek to do better. So, although I know I have and likely will fall short, my goal is to:
Speak love. Speak life.
Speak those things I can't deny.
Speak now. Speak truth.
Speak what's real and always what is right.
