Like us, Paul asks God to remove his “thorn”.

Things that hurt us.
Limit us.
Frustrate us.

God reminds Paul (and us), “my grace is all you need.”

Our race can feel exhausting and impossible at times, but God reminds Paul, “my power works best in weakness.”

At the end of a race, you are totally exhausted. You feel like you can’t take another step. (Can you relate?)

God steps in and gives us the strength to finish.

“Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭

Be encouraged today.
We reach the end of our strength/ability, NOT HIS!!!

Solomon was given supernatural wisdom and he concludes that his pursuit of pleasure and accomplishments do not result in lasting fulfillment. He does not refuse himself anything. He allows his eyes to explore all they desire and his heart all it pleased- only to come up empty.

Outside Jesus- finding LASTING fulfillment is like climbing this ladder!

Ecclesiastes 2:10-11
" I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; ! refused my heart no pleasure.
My heart took delight in all my labor, and this was the reward for all my toil.
Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun."

Joseph spent years living “pieces” of his story.

Some ugly.
Some painful.
Some waiting.
Disappointed.
Lonely.
Feeling forgotten.
Seasons that didn’t make sense.

BUT GOD looks at the entire picture.

God is holding the box!!

Each piece (place) is where it needs to be.

Integrity will cost us at times, but compromise can cost us the promise!

Joseph lost his “position” because of his integrity.

Joseph RAN to protect his relationship with God.

God is not trying to crush us.

He is developing the person HE knows we can become!

In Genesis chapter 40, Joseph is in prison. He reveals the dreams to Pharaoh’s chief cupbearer and chief baker. Joseph helped them and in return, asked them to remember him. The cupbearer forgot about Joseph.

Have you ever felt forgotten?

A person can betray you, forget you, or do wrong to you, but that does not give us the right to hold onto anger, resentment, and bitterness.

When not released,anger and resentment continue to burn inside us, poisoning us —the one who is carrying it —not the person that caused the offense. And that anger bleeds into every other relationship.

Scripture says hate what is wrong and hold fast to what is good.

Romans 12:9

Before God entrusted Joseph with a kingdom, He was teaching Joseph to walk with Him.

“The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭39‬:‭2‬

“But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭39‬:‭21‬ ‭

Joseph's brothers could take his robe.
They could take his freedom.
They could take years of his life.

But they could not take the presence of God.
