⚾️ What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

A few of us have arrived at the Scrappers game, and we’re already having a great time together! We even managed to get a pretty great picture before the game got going! 📸😁

We love opportunities like this to get outside the walls of the church, enjoy time together, laugh a little, and simply be part of our community.

Now it’s time for some baseball! ⚾️🌭

Today we want to celebrate Gary, our church custodian and someone who does so much more than his job title could ever describe!

Gary is the kind of person who sees a need and is willing to step up and help fill it. Whether he is caring for our church building, serving on our Mission, Vision, and Planning Team, lending a helping hand, or simply bringing a smile into the room, Gary serves with a heart for God and for people.

Most importantly, Gary cares about our mission of connecting people to Jesus Christ for the transformation of all people. His willingness to serve wherever needed helps make that mission possible.

Gary, thank you for your hard work, your faithfulness, your smile, and your willingness to serve. We are blessed to have you as part of our church family! 💚

Where do we even begin with Mrs. Sylvia? She does so much for First Baptist Church of Girard that sometimes we can’t even keep track!

From worship, to hospitality, to greeting people with her wonderful smile, to encouraging others, to being a blessing wherever she goes, and just about anything and everything in between, Mrs. Sylvia serves with a joyful and loving heart.

But what makes her service so special isn’t just everything she does. It’s the way she loves people while doing it.

Mrs. Sylvia truly embodies our mission to connect people to Jesus Christ for the transformation of all people. Through her kindness, joy, faithfulness, and willingness to serve, she helps people experience the love of Jesus in a real and personal way.
