What a wonderful morning at the Seneca Maryland FamilySearch Center! We are grateful to Delegate Greg Wims for inviting the community and helping us share the resources available.
A special thank you to everyone who came out today to explore their family history, set up FamilySearch accounts, search for ancestors, and learn how to preserve the stories and memories of their families!
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and look forward to welcoming you back to the FamilySearch Center!

The first wave is going out!
These young women are making history! Since the missionary age for young women lowered to 18, they were among the first to answer the call, and be part of the largest force of 88,500 missionaries that will be serving around the world.
We are so proud of these girls and their willingness to go and serve Jesus Christ and share their beautiful testimonies.
Go forth with faith. The world needs you! 🤍

The Seneca Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was grateful to join with Journey’s Crossing, Germantown Help, Darnestown Presbyterian Church, Brazilian Presbyterian Bible Church, Fairhaven United Methodist Church, and Georgetown Hill Early School for this summer food collection drive.
Together, we collected 250 bags of food to support children and families in our community who may face food insecurity. The Seneca Stake was grateful to collect 50 of those 250 bags.
As disciples of Christ, we are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many wonderful organizations and churches in our community to make a difference.

The Norton Family ask that we share this. 🩷
We are sorry to share that Bruce Norton passed away Monday morning. Bruce was a beloved, longtime member of the Seneca Ward and Seneca Stake. We are grateful for the legacy of faith he leaves with his family and with those who have known and loved him over the years. Please pray for the Norton family and for the peace and comfort that come only through Jesus Christ.

We will share more information about a memorial service as those plans come together.
