A Message from Rev. Dr. Ayana Newton.
"Dear Church Family,
On this Mother’s Day, we pause to give thanks to God for the mothers, grandmothers, spiritual mothers, caregivers, mentors, and nurturers among us. We celebrate the women who love deeply, pray faithfully, encourage generously, and sow into the lives of others day after day. Whether through motherhood by birth, adoption, mentorship, teaching, caregiving, or simple acts of compassion, your love makes a difference.
As we honor this day, we also recognize that Mother’s Day can carry many emotions. For some, it is filled with joy and gratitude. For others, it may bring grief, longing, disappointment, or complicated memories. We lift in prayer those who have lost their mothers, those who desired to become mothers but could not, those navigating difficult relationships, and all for whom this day feels tender.
Please know that you are seen, valued, and embraced by your church family.
Scripture reminds us:
“She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”
— Proverbs 31:26 (NIV)
May God surround every heart with comfort, peace, and love this Mother’s Day. We thank God for every woman who reflects His care by nurturing, guiding, uplifting, and pouring into others.
Happy Mother’s Day, and may God richly bless you.
Grace and peace,"
Pastor Ayana
